52 new episodes of Hamtaro, and 100 more episodes of Pokemon. Yu-Gi-Oh will also keep on airing.
..yep.
As long as it's not on Toonami, I could care less.

Not a big fan of Pokémon or Yu-Gi-Oh, but I am happy about Hamtaro. With so many new shows and episodes set to premiere, there's enough to go around for every fan.
Bring on the new episodes! :p

With the aqusation of now another 100 episodes, that would push Cartoon Network's "Pokemon" into the Johto Season. As for Yu-gi-oh, is that with the episodes they've shown already, or just the first 50. If it was only the first 50, that would only show the Duelist Kingdom and Anime Only (Interval) episodes. As for Hamtaro, why am I surprised that the show has over 100 episodes with the formula they have for it?

Glad Yu-Gi-Oh is at least continuing. Can't say the same about the other 2 shows.

There are fifty dubbed episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh!? Guess that shows how much I keep up with that show.
Hamutarou has its audience, so it's a good thing that they're getting new episodes of Japan's favorite hamster.
As for Pocket Monsters, we'll be getting into the (painfully long) Jouto season, which means we'll get the real dubbed ending themes to both the Orange Islands season and the Jouto Season. They even showed some images from the Jouto episodes in a recent promo for the SVES block. I hope "Beauty and the Beach" is included in those 100 episodes :D

I am very happy to hear about new Hamtaro episodes (NOT happy that it took so long). The Pokemon announcement does not amount to much newswise, since it would amount to showing episodes we've already seen on Kids WB pretty recently (I am curious though, to see the real closing credits of later seasons that have never been seen on WB), it was the Indigo season that benefitted most from being shown on CN (those were the best episodes of the series anyway). Yu-Gi-Oh will be a fresher series, its CN episodes are threatening to catch up with WBs (the only shock would have been if CN had acquired Japan's Season 1 for Adult Swim or some other older time period).
I don't know why Jackie Chan is considered a surprise, its name has popped up frequently as a WB series that CN viewers would like to see, and it is probably the best action cartoon series of American origin right now. There's been buzz for quite some time on Duck Dodgers, Teen Titans and Low Brow, so those are no surprise.
One very pleasant surprise is Super Deformed Gundam, of all the Gundam series I would have picked that as the least likely CN acquisition. However, it would have been even more delightful if another Gundam acquisition had been announced.... (I just wish they would designate a Gundam block, and rotate in and out of it all the episodes they have so far, adding new series as they go).
Welcome news is new Dragonball, NOT welcome is no mention of new 2003 episodes of Inuyasha or Yu Yu Hakasho (cue frustrated scream). Kikaider has long been expected (and I certainly will be watching it), but Rorouni Kenshin is one of those series that people here have been longing for and never really expected, and Blue Gender is a genuine surprise. The decision to give He-Man only 13 new episodes but 26 to Transformers is a bit puzzling, the former drew a lot more positive reaction than the latter.
I guess the most positive trend is CN seems to be developing a number of potential daytime long-running evergreens that will cut into the Cartoon Cartoon/Scooby glut.

Its Superior Defender.
It just happens that it could stand for Super Deformed as well.

Transformers Armada will have no more new episodes, though. When CN decided to get the show, they were signing up for 2 years with 26 episodes each. With He-Man, there is no set episode count. He-Man can be renewed next year, Armada cannot. I think that's the reasoning behind only 13 episodes of He-Man.
Besides, the money for Trigun, Blue Gender, Futurama, and Family Guy has to come from SOMEWHERE...

Except that it would need to be on Toonami, not Adult Swim. Besides the fact that the series already has a kiddy following, there's no reason that the first season that 4Kids skipped couldn't air on Toonami with a few edits. The anime's considerably tamer than the manga currently run in Viz's Shonen Jump (I've have the first 8 episodes), so the show wouldn't need to go to Adult Swim at all.

I've seen the early season one episodes also, but I'm not sure they could be on Toonami without being hacked up, it's just the way it is, the punishment games and all are a little more than Toonami might be comfortable with.

Hamtaro, I have no problems with, but maybe with Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh because they are making too many episodes and that I need a complete rest from those shows.

The first series ends at 276 episodes. The American version will consist of 274 episodes, since 4Kids skipped two episodes.
The second series, Pocket Monsters Advanced Generation, is currently airing in Japan. Episode 14 airs on Thursday.

Ugh. More of those shows. Now, I'm a big otaku, but I"d rather watch more wholesome anime like Gundam or Inuyasha.

Hmmm i figured they would continue on with the whole
"season 2" thing on pokemon as opposed to going into
"DBZ" syndrome as i call it
when they replay the same 12 epidodes about 20 times
I know my lil brothers will be very happy about the whole pokemon thing (we never got WB when it was on)
i could care less about hamtaro... i'm waaay to old to tolerate that
just way too cutie type stuff
just as long as they don't fill up my toonami spots or something
with a buncha kiddie stuff...Yugioh included
