Who thinks we need a General Cartoon Network Board?

No.
The WBC does a pretty good job of handling the general animation, and besides, what do you have on CN besides Adult Swim, Cartoon Cartoons, and Toonami? Yup, general animation!
EDIT: Oh, and Justice League. Who can forget that? That's also covered extensively in another board.

The official Toon Zone stance is echoed nicely in LuckyBob's post! Cookies for LuckyBob on knowing us so well =)

I think I like Matt Wilson's idea of changing the Cartoon Cartoon board into the General CN board. Since CC Fridays are expanding with non CC shows like What's New, Scooby Doo? and the new SVES block, I think it would be more practical.

In that case, that will be completely up to the decision of CookieS, and whether or not he's interested in pursuing such projects with his board...

I voted "no." Everything on Cartoon Network already has a place to be discussed. Combining many kinds of animation on one board would also be confusing.

My thoughts precisely.

I dunno, that sounds a bit strange. If we were to have a general Cartoon Network board, wouldn't that have to include Toonami and Adult Swim? (We can leave the DCU out of the equation for the moment) That would cause a lot of confusion, for sure. Both boards have a significant following, and the Adult Swim board tends to be a bit more "flammable" than the others from time to time.
But if Matt's thinking of a Cartoon Network board that has to do with the general animation cartoons that appear on the network, wouldn't that look a little redundant next to the WBC?

No sense in making a forum just for a block that only airs on a Saturday.
Well if it were to replace the CC Board it would just include Catoon Cartoons, General CN Programming, Cartoon Network Originals, SVES, Shows outside of these blocks (Max Steel, Hamtaro, Baby Loony Tunes etc.,) and other programming on CN.

I just don't know. It seems kinda weird to me to have a forum just for cartoons that air on one particular channel. While Matt does have a point, the block in question has a rather large fanbase. Much like Adult Swim. Plus, the CCF board is a part of the CCF Fansite. And I believe that all of Toonzone's "Squatters" are entitled to a message board each. (Which is why there's a Tiny Toon Adventures Board that's seperate from the WBC.)
But then, that's my take on things.

If we had a forum for cartoons that air on Cartoon Network, it might be more common to see people pushing for a Nickelodeon board, a Disney/ABC networks board, etc. Also, people would be likely to post a thread about DC Animation, Toonami, Adult Swim, and others on there, even if those sections kept their own boards.

Because that would be a waste of resources. There's no need for seperate boards when we can easily accommodate what we need on to the one board.

If any network needs its own general board it's Cartoon Network. I would see no need for other boards for other networks except maybe a Nicktoons board. Everything other than that is so sparse that the WBC is fine.
