Later.
Didn't we already have this thread? (checking up on it)
Okay... we had "Cartoons you hate but everyone loves" so this gets away as a new thread.
my turn to contribute,
This is more of a scaled thing towards a yahoo group I mod at.
It seems like everyone there loves Agent X. I HATE that character with a passion! He's brash, rude, stupid--- come on, even his own galaxy didnt want him and was itching to send him to Earth. It's pathetic and I feel like Im the only one that sees him as the awful and dangerous alien he is.
...Guess not only my hair is something that makes me similar to Elle hehe.... thats two that hate Agent X.
hehe, I also hate all the pokemon characters, spongebob squarepants (whyowhy did I get my little sister that talking doll??) and dog from catdog. I dont mind the cat nearly as much as the dog.

I don't like Nightcrawler in X-Men: Evolution, yet he has by far the largest fan following. His "party down" attitude gets old after a while, and he's constantly in the spotlight when half the cast could use a good dose of characterization. Plus, I don't find Kurt to be all that funny, or cute. Give me Lance any day. ;)

-Fred Flintstone. I just do not find him amusing.
-Boo Boo (from Yogi Bear). Some people seem to like that character, but I find him annoying.
-Odie (from Garfield and Friends). I see him as a pest rather than a funny character.

I second that. Yeah, he was somewhat interesting in season 1 but I've grown to dislike him slightly. More Brotherhood, darnet! :D

Spongebob is SO insanely popular at my high school that I'm beginning to think there is something seriously wrong with the water here. I just don't get how that annoying little yellow square thing with the nails-on-chalkboard-level-of-grating laugh can come off as so adorable by these people.

Its like that at my High School, too
I'll admit, Spongebob has some good episodes (the Krusty Krab training video was great) but it really doesn't diserve all the acclaim its getting

Okay, some of us are getting confused. The topic is cartoon CHARACTERS that you hate but everyone else loves. Some of you - nay, many of you - are naming shows.
Like I say, I don't hate this character in the traditional sense, but it's the way she was written that I hate:
Helga G. Pataki
In the first couple of seasons, she was this controlling, name-calling bully with a borderline psychotic personality (the ability to switch gears from mocking Arnold to declaring her love for him faster than you can say "Jack Robinson"). Then, in the later episodes, the writers actually wanted us to feel sorry for her while fully retaining the aforementioned traits. But they neglected a little thing called (altogether, class) "continuity". I know that many Arnold/Helga shippers (you know who you are) will say that Helga's like this because she's been neglected (there's that word again...) by her parents. I know that this has popped up throughout the run of the series, and I honestly could've felt sorry for her, but "Helga on the Couch" (when the root of the whole obsession - there's no other word for it, admit it - was brought to bear) came so late in the game, it was impossible to feel anything but contempt for her. Episodes from around that time like "Ms. Perfect" and "Love and Cheese" certainly didn't help her case any. If the writers had introduced the episode earlier in the run and if they had toned down the overly histrionic tangents (the cheesy soliloquies that start with "And yet..."; albeit wonderfully delivered by Franny Smith), then maybe, perhaps, I might support the shipping and embrace Helga as a well-rounded character. But, as it stands, she's a freakin' basket case.

Courage The Cowardly Dog sucks!!
I think I'm one of the only people on this board who can't stand Samurai Jack.
Also, lots of people at my school like Scooby Doo, but that show puts me to sleep.

Personal comments (some of which is pretty much preaching to the converted):
-Spongebob (he is just too cheerful to be normal! And to those who think this show has Pythonesque humor....they don't know Monty Python too well)
-Deedee (Does anyone realize how much I hate her, considering the "perfectionist" nature they give to her...even though she is annoying. Same goes to similar characters in other series)
-Cow (what is CN's obsession with her! She is a one-joke character who grates on my nerves!)

Let's see....
the cast of Pokemon: "pika-pika", my butt...in my day, if 'toons couldn't talk, they held up a series of signs with words printed on 'em, like that there Road-runner guy! :-)
Batman (not the cartoon version, but his current comic-book incarnation, that is): talk about appealing to emotionally-stunted 12-year-olds (fail to see why having your lead character behave like a complete and total (bleep) is supposed to be appealing...see also: "jerk-a**" Homer)
Jar-Jar Binks: *Shudder*.
Everyone on "Family Guy" except Stewie and Brian: aside from these two, the show was mainly unoriginal, sophomoric dreck---aka par for the course for Fox ;-)
Mindy on A!: found myself wishing she'd get hit by one of those falling pianos/heavy objects that hit Buttons all the time.
Probably doesn't count as "hate", but not an anime fan in general, I'm afraid, so guess that'd lump in Yu-Gi-Oh/Cardcaptors/whatever the heck half that stuff on "FoxBox" is/etc.

I totally agree with you! I think Helga could have been a great character if her obsessive, stalker like behavior was toned down. Though I enjoy her Shakespherian monologues :D

What show is this character from? The description doesn't sound familar?
