i'll keep this short. i truely agree w/ both poekeats and maxie zeus. to be honest, i wouldnt even want unmasked to air now, i live in nyc and this is pretty much all consuming for me and my school. it is terrible. i was alittle surprised at how the events were trivialized in the "unmasked will not air" thread, but i understand where everyone was coming from and know they meant it w/ no disrespect. i was surprised at poekeats harsh comments, but i am even more surprised that the thread was closed and at how harshly Maxie Zeus scolded poekeats. Poekeats is entitled to his opinion, even if it is expressed tactlessly, and i do not understand the reasoning behind closing the thread. i guess that in such times i am feeling very patriotic and dont like to see any kind of censorship quiet our freedom of speech, and i truely feel that poekeats comments werent so upsetting that the post should have been closed. that was definately a valid concern of his or hers, and a thread that could help us all learn a thing or two and discuss these horrible events in a really honest way, since obviously we are all human and are subject to being slightly insensitive from time to time. thank you and peace.

The post was harsh and inflammatory, came close to being a personal attack upon certain persons, and was grotesquely insulting toward the membership of these boards. It was flamebait, and that was why I closed it. With emotion running high around here, I calculated that we couldn't afford to have something as nasty as that as an open target.
As for the "censorship" charge: How can it be censorship if I left the post itself up, unedited and unchanged? I did not close any of the other threads about "Unmasked" being unaired; those who wish to express themselves on the issue are free to do so, as long as they keep a civil tone. Closing poekeat's thread merely prevents others from responding directly to poekeats, not from replying to other posts making the same point in less abusive language.
I must also remind you that publically challenging a mod's decisions and actions is a serious violation of the board rules. If you do not like a mod's actions take it up in PMs or email. And because these decisions are not fodder for public discussion, I am locking this thread as well.
