Berserk Manga Question

Is the manga version more violent than the anime version? Is the anime version accurate to the manga?

from what i hear it's close. Course they leave out some stuff since the anime is a prequel to the manga series. They have the stuff in the manga as a flashback also, but the story keeps going from what i've read. I've been interested in reading the "blackswordsman" and stuff. I don't even know if he faced griffith again....

I forgot they left out stuff like guts getting raped....possibly by gambino.

I've only read a couple of volumes of the Berserk manga, but it is good stuff. It is much more violent and graphic than the TV series, but goes into more detail with the Band of the Hawk and other things. Otherwise, the anime version seems to pretty accurate to the manga, with the ommission of some of the more graphic stuff and the exclusion of Skull Knight, a very important character. Here's another tidbit in the manga that was left out of the anime: (SPOILER FOR UP TO Episode 23)

The King wants to have sex with his daughter, Charlotte. That is one reason he is angry at Griffith, because Griffith was able to have sex with Charlotte before him. After Griffith is caught, the King tries to raper Charlotte, but is unscuccesful.

Actually, the anime is a direct adaptation of the first 13 volumes of the manga.

From what I've read and seen, basically there's little difference between the two in terms of violence.

Does the last episode of Berserk leave off were the first one starts??? Not really. There's a bit of a gap between the end of the 25th episode and the beginning of the first. The Eclipse Battle doesn't end in episode 25, but we know it's over because of episode 1's events.

It is supposed to, but the circle is incomplete. The ending is pretty much a huge cliffhanger. I don't know if you've seen the ending, so I can't explain more without going into spoilers.

I have only seen to episode 17 seeing as there are only 4 Berserk DVDs out right now, at least so I think. But I know certain ways :rolleyes: of getting those other episodes.
