Folks, I finally sat down & watched an ep of Grim & Evil Monday night (taped), & became a fan of that show literally overnight. Tomorrow, I'll get back with y'all & expound on it; for now I'll just say watch it. Today they re-run the pilot. For that matter, stick around for Time Squad. Yep, I gave it another chance & I'm converted on that too. Looking flrward to seeing Ludwig Van as a wrestler. I'm reminded of the maestro; wrestling fans will get what I mean, which probably rules out everyone here :) Well, I'll get back with you. Cy'all.

Finally, someone else to share in the fun with. I have loved Grim and Evil since its short last summer. When I asked most of the fans on newsgroups and chat rooms they usually haven't seen it or have bashed it. Its the "newness effect". People hated Ed, Edd, n Eddy, and Courage when they first came out. A year later, each show has a small cult following that pops it's head in here and around the web. So for all you Grim & Evil/Time Squad haters, I say give it a break. The shows are a little something different and can be funny if you give it a chance. So there is my rant, hehe. Also, nice to meet you.

What do you guys think of it?

I don't care too much for the Evil segments, but the Grim ones are hilarious.

I should watch it more. From what I've seen, it's not bad. But I've only seen one episode - the first one. Sigh... I better stop neglecting Cartoon Cartoons.

And Kitty Bobo or Utica Cartoon (what was it called?) for this year should of won. Sadness.

Are you people nuts? Grim and Evil is awesome. Originally only "Grim" won the Big Pick, but I think Maxwell Atoms had that "Evil" short he also did for CN...so he did a half/half show.

Don't even mention Kitty Bobo or Utica Cartoon...those were in Big Pick 2, so they were not competing against it. I say you guys should give the show a chance. Most people I've talked to about it usually say "I haven't caught it yet". I admit, once a week at 11pm (I think) makes it harder to watch than anything else, but the show is stupid-funny and I love the dark corruption twisted with comedy. Give it a chance.

I was gonna comment on this some time ago, & I'd like to thank Penny for bringing it back. Grim & Evil is one ofmy favorite CN shows. @ first I didn't really give it a second look when Billy & Mandy was on the Big Pick, & when it won I was all whoop-de-doo. But when the show finally started this season I gave it a chance & am I ever glad I did. Let's start with the voice cast. Imo Grey DeLisle makes the show. Would it bewatching without her? Well, I think I'd still watch, but I guess we'll never know. She voices Mandy & Major Doctor Ghastly. It's been commented on before how Mandy's voice is eerily similar to Histeria's Charity Bazaar; some of us thot Mandy was voiced by Laraine Newman until reading the credits. You might recognize one of the Dee Dees voicing an imp who pops up occasionally. Other voices include the voice of Aku from SJ as Hector Con Carne (if he can't take over the world in one form, he will in another), Armin Shimerman aka Quark as the stomach, Carlos Alazraqui (who? Gug from Detention, tho in the 1st ep I saw I thot he was trying to imitate Toast; he was that skateboarder), & of course Frank Welker who does the bear voices as only he can. And yes, Miss Newman is in there too from time to time. Sometimes the animation resembles stuff I might expect out of Canada, which is not a good or a bad thing. And then there's the adult factor. That time Billy took over Mandy by jumping into her head head-first? So dodgy I'm surprised Belchie hasn't already commented. And then there's that whole taking over the world thing. Think Brain being carried around by Pinky, with subordinates & an army @ his command. I think I've sufficiently established my credentials as a fan. And it's in tandem with Time Squad, too. Fridays @ 9:00 is my Must See TV, & it's always on Cartoon Network. Thank you, Max Atoms!

Actually it's on at 10:30 pm here, but I totally agree with you. I have no opinion on Kitty Bobo or Utica Cartoon, though...I missed them both (nor do I even remember hearing about them before).

I'm glad a few people agree with me. Last time I was on, I asked about "Sheep in the Big City" and everyone was against me. :(

Well, I wasn't everyone. I came in as liking that too, & I am curious as to the changes for the second season. Looks like the Angry Scientist really meant it when he said "I need to be getting out of my contract!" And about those who didn't like Sheep, I'm sure it was nothing personal against you. They just didn't like the show. No reflection on you, we like ya around here.

Grim & Evil is pretty cool!! Maxwell Atoms definately has what it takes to bring in the laughs, and he most certianly ranks up there with Genndy, Craig, Van, and David! Pinky & The Brain have some major competition if you know what i mean. Don't be so Grim, stay tuned for more Evil!!!

I only caught the first epidode. I didn't like it, so I didn't make any effort to follow it. Oh, it wasn't awful, but I think the Animaniacs, not to mention Bill and Ted, did the "annoy the Grim Reaper" bit better.
