anyone heard of rahxephon?

Yes, I've seen it, and have a site for it. Best anime I've seen since Cowboy Bebop, and IMO BETTER than Eva.

Saw the first eps. Can't tell you what its about. Somethings attack and ruin the city then some huge statue of a goddess(?) comes up and starts blowing them up. All the while some guy runs around while people chase him. Now I know that can't be all there is to the series but thats all I know.

I've seen the first two episodes, and I've got the first special edition DVD pre-ordered. Can you tell that I love it yet? If you can't, then here you go:
I LOVE IT!!!!!
The animation is great, the mecha are super-sweet, and they fight with SOUND! GWAAAAAA! I can't wait until late March for that DVD.

EDIT: I forgot to say that the music is Godlike as well.

I thought it was a helluva lot better than Evangelion, personally. After seeing the entire series, I had no desire to kill the characters at the end, as I did with EVA. Nor did the complex ending of RahXephon give me a headache... as EVA did. Beautiful animation and soundtrack, likeable characters, and a solid plot all the way though the series (AKA: no filler eps). And finally, there is Quon. Quon makes any series look good. ;) la la

This is probably the only series I'll funnel my slim budget into the next few months. I don't care if it is like Eva or better or not. I'll treat the show on its own terms.
