??? about Yugi

My experience with Yugioh has been mostly with the anime on WB, i was reading some books at a book store and i suddenly found the manga, and Yami Yugi is totally different, hes almost evil. Is this true of the anime in Japan or is it strictly on the manga?

there is a yugioh manga/anime that is before the current one...in this one, he is basically a badarse who punishes a lot of people ....

Actually, the "card game" manga and the original tale are in the same manga, but it is just a change in direction for some stupid reason or another. The tale begins with Yugi being the literal "king of games", beating enemies by their own rules and then killing them or doing something humiliating to them. One of the many games introduced was "Monsters and Magic" (aka "Duel Monsters") by our old buddy Setou Kaiba. The bad news was that after the card game was introduced, children all throughout Japan sent in letters wanting to know how to play the game. By the time the card game started to come out, as well as the end of the "Kaibaland" arc (with the big showdown that is depicted at the start of the second anime), it was too late.

It's funny. The next Manga that The American Shonen Jump is publishing will have the first appearence of Seto Kailba in it. I wonder how Yugi will first react to playing duel monsters?

I've always been too boggled by how Yugi does that thing with his hair, that I never think about the series itself...

...haha. No, really. Call me crazy, but I even love the 4Kids yu-gi-oh. And the Manga's so much darker...It makes me feel all giddy inside. I love this stuff...

It's SETO Kaiba's first appearance? I thought it was Noa Kaiba.
