Comparably a better episode than "Barting Over". (But you have to have a Bart episode be the milestone). Many good jokes, even if they were a bit recycled.

The one thing that did really bug me was having Barney drunk on the street. I thought they were commited to keeping him sober.

I'll give it a 7/10

Yeah this one was better than #300. Was jipped on the chalkboard.

However, I kinda fooled myself into thinking one joke was funnier than it actually was at the beginning Marge and LIsa are watching the news and the Newscaster says "3M and M&Ms have merged into ******* systems." I thought he said "Cyberdyne" and I was rolling, then my roommate pointed out he said "Ultradyne" or something. Cyberdyne would have been funnier I think. 3M and M&Ms bringing about the apocalypse, now that's funny!

Either way, it's funny. It's an irony joke-you expect 5M or something like that.

Funny as usual. Booberella and the Ray Romano basketball movie was a great way to start it off. Any show that makes fun of nerds and hippies is good in my book.

One more thing: If you want even more Simpsons (where they prove why it's still a good show), watch Bravo at 11:00 EST.

Did anyone see (or hear) a "Samurai Jack" joke in this episode?
A few of us* at "The (Samurai) Site" want to know.

This one was pretty darn funny! It was nice to see a new Lisa episode, we havn't gotten one in a while.

"I'm Spelling As Fast As I Can"

I thought the plot was great and the whole Booberella/Horror movie thing was great, as well as the 3M-M&M's merger. The rest wasn't as great, but it was still better than "Barting Over" and "How I Spent My Strummer Vacation".

I'll give "I'm Spelling As Fast As I Can" A B.

I found the three eps funny and refreshing. Sometimes it seems like watching the Simpsons is just a habit, but I actually liked these eps.

Although at least one review commented on a Samurai Jack joke, there was none. My best guess is that somebody believed that the skate-off in "Barting Over" was parodying a Samurai Jack fight scene instead of the flyin' samurai of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

I liked this episode.

Willie seems to be a bit distgruntled and bitter.

I want my on cheering section like Homer and LIsa.

I thought the best part was seeing Barney fall of the wagon. I wonder if he's going to be a full blown drunk again.

This was just as funny or funnier than Barting Over. Lisa stories tend to be better than Bart stories these days. Best of all, no well-known guest stars. (Never even heard of the guy who played that dean in that movie... ).

Best joke:

Lisa: R-E-L-A-P-S-E!
Barney: That's what drinking does to me!

Other good'uns:

-And a hot plate!

-The dean's use of the clues.
Dean: Spell "whether"[or weather]
Sun Moon: Could you use it in a sentence?
Dean: The girl didn't know whether the weather report was correct.

-Ribwich: Will cause early death.

-Krusty's explanation on why there are no more Ribwiches.

The one joke that really got me rolling around laughing was when Homer bit into the Ribwich. I saw it in an ad, but it hit me when I saw it in the show. They were spoofing Requiem for a Dream.

How the hell does one make jokes about Requiem for a Dream?! First, how few people ahve seen it? Second, how few people have seen it and not kileld them selves in depression afterward?

Yet Simpsons spoofed it brilliantly. Darren Aronofsky must be rolling in his grave.. or rather the one Warners dug for him. Dang. Now I'm gonna be waiting for my Aronofsky's Pi ref (I don't think there was one) or maybe a Donnie Darko ref. Heck, this one was more suprising than that Run Lola Run ref a while back.
