According to TV Tome.com (http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/ShowMainServlet/showid-16283/) Eric Wight, the designer of the characters for the new Buffy: The Animated Series added sixteen new photos to his portfolio. TV Tome also says that it is more than likely, these are how the characters will look in the series. I was wondering the same thing. It says it's taking the Buffy gang "back to highschool" but they were in already in highschool, and had many a storyline there. I don't see what they need to go back for.

I'd guess, if anything feasible, they'd want to appeal to kids more so they can hock off even more merchandise.

Ok, bringing this thread back on topic - I have to say I don't completely understand the need for an animated Buffy, save for more marketting to younger fans, or something. But what piqued my interest is that I saw that Daivd Boreanaz was creditted (http://www.cityofangel.com/characters/angel.html) for the first three episodes for providing voice talent. And I trust CoA (http://www.cityofangel.com) impicitly, so it prompted me to search a bit about the show and I discovered the new art.

I'm not sure I'll really get into it - but if Angel's going to be on the first three eppys, I'll definitely have to give those a gander. :D

I've heard about this project for a while but I never found out what station it will air on. Can anyone fill me in? When's it supposed to debut?

Currently nothing is known about when the show will start (apparently VAing has been done though so it's in the works for sure). As to what channel, that's still up in the air, from what I know. I think it'll be syndicated - as in not just one station will have it...but that's just a guess of mine and I've not anything to confirm that.
