I was disappointed overall. This is the first one I've seen since early in the season, and I was hoping for greater improvement. There were some good moments, though.

i thought the only good skit was the one where they were at the school dance. otherwise...the rest was pretty much garbage, if you ask me.

I liked that joke that was made about Atari going out of business in the Weekend Update sketch.

I liked the school dance and the walmart skit.

I can't believe the quality of this show hasn't improved in 10 years. Ever since Dana Carvey, Mike Meyers, and Phil Hartman left the show, they have yet to approach watchable comedy. I prefer Mad TV to this drech. :D

Me too - that was great :) :D

Christopher Walken's hosting next week - that show's gonna rock :)

Weekend Update was good, and so were some skits, not unbelivable though

This was the best one since New Years...but that is not saying much. Still great.

Garner's rendition of "My Funny Valentine" was sweet. Finally, someone ripped Stomp. Rachael Dratch slipped Jennifer Garner the tongue. Sheldon got his first kiss. Invitation to Love reminds me of GH. The storyline made no sense.

Those twins were digusting. Weekend Update was okay. Bacharat don't play jack and that a fact. The best part was MC P's rap. John Cena and MC P should do a collabo.

Beck not my cup of tea so I can't critque his performance.

Michael Jackson in a tree was stupid. Amy Proeler actually looked like Jackson with that makeup. Will Lisa Marie Priestley marriage to OJ last more than a week? I doubt it. I know Wal-Mart is big.

I was surprised that there were no Daredevil spoofs. SNL was nothing special this week, and I probably wouldn't watch if Jennifer Garner wasn't the host.

I watch SNL every week and this one was from start to finish one of the worst episodes I have ever seen.

I was excited about Jennifer Garner, but I didn't think she even did that great of a job, there have been worse, but she was nothing special.

"Wakeup Wakefield" was decent, but at usual the best part was the appearance by Horatio's character. (Well that and Garner and Dratch. ;) )

Weekend Update was probably the best part. As soon as Parnell came out I had high hopes he was going to do one of those raps.

Osma talking to Saddam wasn't too bad, but there just wasn't anything this week that really stood out.

The Wal-Mart sketch was okay, but I felt it was dragged down by the "I know"s. Seth Meyers did look quite a bit like my old Kmart manager though.

Now next week if Christopher Walken can't have a good show someone needs to be fired.

The last one I really watched was when Sarah MIchelle Gellar hosted.

I thought the opening was funny. The skits about the high school dance and the soap opera and Osama and Saddam were funny.

Other than that I wasn't that impressed.

REALLY? Did you see the Matthew McCoughnahey episode? I called that show's time of death at 11:45pm. I actually enjoyed last weekend's episode. I'm not a big fan of Jennifer Garner, but I liked the show.

Christopher Walken is an amazing host (he's definitely one of my favorites) - I'm sure this weekend's episode will be good.

I thought the skit in the bar with what the girl looks like in the dark and with lights on.

I didn't think about it at the time because I was so distracted by how dismal this week's was. You're right though, that one was much worse.

So....did anyone watch Christopher Walken host SNL? There were a lot of cameos last night (in Weekend Update alone, lol!)
Will Ferrel, Steve Martin, Brittany Spears.....and Jim Carrey - yeah, I was just as shocked as everyone else with that one, heh! They even did a "Luvahs" sketch too! :D

shouldn't this have gotten a new thread?

the show has generally been in a weaker season, but walken saved this episode and it was pretty good.

and of all the characters for them to have will ferrel do, why did they pick "Lovahs"? they could've done inside the actors studio, the infinite universe...something other than the worst sketch character he ever got attached too.

walken was good, especially in the continental sketch and the opening pranksters sketch.

Jim Carrey wandered on stage while the Foos (who RULED!) were playing "Times Like These", and started playing his leg like a guitar. I liked the episode. All the cameos were pretty good, namely Will Ferrel's.

last night's episode was one of the better ones this season (i think only al gore's was better... and that's saying a lot about this season!), although it could've been way better. they were smart though, they started with the real good material and then just drifted into gibberish. the pranksters, continental, and the lifeboat skits stick out as the best for me (i might be forgetting something). the colonel angus was a good idea, but they milked it for all it was worth and then some... i got tired of that one about halfway thru.

(and since everyone else ruined spikejet's spoiler...)
i missed carey's cameo... i don't usually watch the musical performances, and i'm not a foo fighters fan (especially their new songs... soooo repetitious, GRR). steve martin's cameo was one of the few times he's been funny, EVER. his last few movies were lame, and this one bit, like 1 or 2 minutes of just standing behind the weekend update skit, was funny. will ferell... let's just say he shouldn't have come back. i've never been a fan of his.

I thought that looked like Jim Carrey but I wasn't sure. I was cracking up when he did that. I can't believe the band members were able to keep a straight face.

Oh yeah, remember how Maya Rudolph was playing Christina Aguilera? She looked really freaky as Christina, and I don't mean in the sexual way either.

I don't know. Walken was glued to the cue cards and it really showed in his performance. It wouldn't have taken much more work to perfect his delivery (one of his strengths) -- maybe he was otherwise busy this week.

Yeah, I think it's cause Maya's eyes look bigger or something....And does anyone know why Jim Carrey was there? When I saw the shadow of someone walking onstage i was hoping for Jack Black (Tenacious D), but it was Jim. Weird.

Someone who went to meet the cast after the show last night saw Jack Black.

And I'm sorry about the whole "spoilers" thing ^^;
