In a recent daily update on Spawn.com's comic board Brad Gould of the Mcfarlane Staff reported the following:
One of the things that came up in the conversation was the future of TMP animation. I know that many of you have had questions about our continuing the Spawn animated series. Not long ago, I answered a post on the Entertainment board by saying that it was somewhere on Todd’s plate, and that while that plate is sometimes incredibly full, everything eventually gets done. (For you comic fans out there, yes, that includes Sam and Twitch.)
I found out that animation is edging toward the top of our priority list here at TMP, and that we will start a project sometime this year, for completion in 2004. The details have yet to be finalized, but it could be a series similar to the HBO series, or it could be a full-length animated feature. What would you like to see? Would you prefer to have a feature-length video that you could purchase or rent from your local video store, or do you like the idea of an HBO-type series? Give us your thoughts.
Not all to sure if that means the HBO-series will just be left as is or has a possibility of contining, even if it doesn't I'm still glad Spawn is returning to animation soon. Anyone else glad to hear this news?
