It's hard to believe I could watch ROTJ over and over again and love it. It is a great movie. And you have to love the part where Batman is running from the space laser.

But then you think of what recently happened in New York and you actually stop the movie. Or fast forward through it. I never really though about all the destruction the laser did and how much of the city it destroyed. And how many people were probably killed.

It just seems that once we see that this type of stuff is possible in real life, it is just very sad to see it in comics. And I completely understand what WB is doing with Unmasked.

Does anyone agree? Or now agree that ROTJ will be tough during that scene? Or is it just my sad sappy self in one of these moods?

Feedback please.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. THere was actually a discussion in the past about the damage that laser did, and how many innocents must have been killed in those scenes. We commented on how disturbing those scenes were back then - and now they're even more so.

think about what the Joker did to Tim and you'll see he honestly doesn't have a heart..and will kill whoever neccesarry to get his man.

I watched ROTJoker the day of the incident and I didn't find that part disturbing. I knew it happened before this did, so I see no reason to find it disturbing..they hadn't planned on it...

then again..I get where your coming from..maybe it'll be hard to watch in the long run...

With all the understandable sensitivity to the recent tragedy, please don't misread my comments here. Opinions here are on a fictional TV show and not on recent events.

I think the destruction of so much of Gotham city was an exellent finale. It was a pity that they were unable to highlight the damage the Joker causes. Not for any crass or insensitive reasons, but simply as it paints him as the true horror he is/was and gives Gordon's comments about the Joker credence - he is the worst villain ever. This gives the Joker the monsterous legacy the clown deserves. I don't think he'd ever be forgotten after such an act.

That scene in World's Finest where the Joker uses Luthor's "plane" to destroy many Metropolis buildings... that was pretty eerie and unsettling as well.

Commenting on WF (I should be posting this on the JL Board), but word has it that episode may be dropped from rotation when SUPERMAN: TAS resumes on CN in October due to the Joker's explosive finale (which is beautifully animated).

I wonder if this will hinder the plans to release ROTJ: Uncut?

Kami I hope not. I need that uncut on DVD so I can watch it on a big screen, my computer is hating me for watching it constantly that it's threating to murder my hard drive.

My brother managed to fit ROTJ-Uncut on one CD in VCD format. Video Quality is iffy, and the sound is under water..but....I can watch it on a 32" TV..so that's all I care about (only 1 DVD player will play it..which is the Apex Player..it plays all kinds of illegal things...maybe cuz it has an illegal feature... :D)
