Morons on the news

I just watched a little 'news piece' on headline news that talked about womens portrayals in video games and how there are some positive portrayals along with the cheesecake like doa volleyball, and they showed a clip from the new Starcraft game.

what made me want to kick my tv in was that the anchor dude said "it kind of looks like Metroid Prime except with a female lead character!"

Actually, I've been taking a class on news writing done by a former anchorwoman. If there's one thing we've learned from her, it's that the news has to be stupid and has to be catered to the morons who haven't played a game since Pong & assume any character in body armor is a guy. So just chalk it up to the fact that the vast majority of network news has to be consciously moronic. :D
