View Full Version : Justice League/Static Shock "A League of Their Own" Airdates Revealed!

The Static Shock episodes "A League of Their Own" Part One will air on March 1st, followed by "A League of Their Own" Part Two" on March 8th. These episodes will feature the Justice League and Brainiac.

Below are the official synopsis for each episode:

Static Shock Episode #34 - A League of Their Own Part 1
Original Airdate - March 1st, 2003.

While on a mission in space with the Justice League, Static and Gear find themselves alone and under the attack by Brainiac.


Static Shock Episode #36 - A League of Their Own Part 2
Original Airdate - March 8th, 2003.

When Brainiac takes over Backpack and uses it to control Gear, Static rejoins with the Justice League to save his friend.

Interesting that these episodes will air so early -- since they take place after Brainiac's appearance in Justice League. Hopefully it won't spoil any big surprises...

I am glad we are getting the episodes so early but I have to say I do not like the plot at all, seems too "kiddy" for some strange reason.

Man i hope this doesn't mess anything up. But then again "Fury" didn't spoil "In Justice For all" too much.

So I guess Brainac must appear in either Hearts and Minds or Tabula Rasa first.

So may I ask what Static and Gear are doing with the JL in space. I mean does the JL need Gears' help to do something involving computers and could it be that Static is just along for the ride????

All right!! That's less than a month away!! YES!! Oh, and DarkLantern, whoever said that the Justice League episode of Brainiac takes place before the Static Shock episode?

Thanks for the glowing vote of confidence, Karkull -- but I do not claim to be the foremost authority on all things Justice League. But what I do say is true... just take my word for it.

I remember seeing a commercial for the justice league team-up at the ending credits of "Hard as Nails," was it just me, or was Brainiac portrayed as some kind of orange robot? They only showed the clips at a fraction of a second.

The episode is slated to feature the whole cast of the series so it'll be nice to see that, as well. It'll be a challenge for the writers to juggle the seven member team, as well as Static, Gear, and Brainiac. That's ten immediate characters right there.

i'm a bit surprised it's airing this early
i thought it would be buried til the fall
so if the jl arc is airing in march, will the superman xover air in april?

Yeah, KWB probably is going to air all new SS episodes back to back so that X-Men Evolution can have May all to itself.

caught my first glimpse of the Static-JL ep via commercial

it was said all 7 members would appear but I only saw 5 (Bats, GL, Flash, J'onn, & Hawkgirl) Perhaps Supes & Diana make cameos on the vid screen or something: Sorry Batman, We're busy. ;-)

I'm looking forward to this, as well. I odn't mind Superman's absence becuase he's getting his own episode later on in the season, I think near the end of March/first of April. It would be nice to see Wonder Woman included, even though I'm not a fan of her character, simply to have the complete league.

It'll be good to see the League again in a new adventure, but I really look forward to seeing Brainiac "layin' da funk down..."

Based on what I know, I believe the report on Static's appearance on "Wild Card" was in error. Perhaps Jim Harvey can confirm this either way?
