Hey guys, I was wondering if someone can help me:
I'm writing an essay in which we have to compare and contrast 2 animated feature films produced any time after 1945 (post-World War II). I just don't know what films to choose! LOL So would any of you please give me suggestions for 2 animated films to C&C?

Thanks, I really appreciate it!
:D

Maybe a Japanese and US movie? 'My Neighbour Totoro' & 'The Secret of NIMH' are both excellent films and well worth watching as part of your coursework :)
Or perhaps a British and US movie? 'Animal farm' and any later day Disney production perhaps?
Or maybe bring your essay right up to date and contrast 'Ice Age' with 'Monsters Inc'. There's 100s of movies to choose from - check out the Internet Movie Database for ideas too.

does it have to be a fully animated feature, or can it be a feature featuring animation? like "mary poppins" or ray harryhausen's "jason and the argonauts". if so you could compare groundbreaking movies like those mentioned (both 1963) and something groundbreaking from today like star wars 1 or disney's dinosaur.

Try to pick a couple of similar ones so that you can more easily compare and contrast. Bambi and Fox & The Hound, Lord Of The Rings and Black Cauldron, Yellow Submarine and Fantasia 2000 (the original Fantasia is pre-1945), Ducktales The Movie and Aladdin are examples. And of course, you could always compare a Disney movie to it's sequel, though I'd choose a sequel that was a theatrical release such as Peter Pan 2.
