Hi there, folks, TriSaber's the name. Just thought I'd join up and start posting some of my DCU animated artwork here to see what people think of it. I specialize in the heroes of the Golden Age DCU, but sometimes I tackle modern stuff. Opinions and questions are always welcome. I thought I'd start off withe my rendition of the Golden Age Batman for everybody to have a look at. Enjoy.

Hey, good to see you posting at TZ too. :)
As for Batman, dear god, that kicks ass! I wish he'd have looked like that in the animated series'.

Well, they sorta have to be that small since they're gonna be part of a new web site that I'm developing and that's the size that fits into the format that's been cooked up.
As for more, well ... stay tuned. :brak:

Very accurate and just uber clean and dark :)
Excellent work, my friend. I'm also glad to see you here on TZ. Keep up the good work.
Any chance we'll get to see some Legion members? (hint, hint :) )

Well, I'm kinda up to my neck in Golden Agers for now, Cap, as I'd like to have my new site ready to go online by the end of this month. But who knows? Maybe sometime in the near future I'll be doing a companion site that focuses on the DCU of the future!
It's a thought. :D

By the way, here's the link to my temporary online Golden Age DCU art album for those of you who want to take a look at the other characters that I've done. I figured it'd be quicker and more convenient to point you to the album itself than for me to repost everything here. But from now on, each new image that I cook up will be posted here in this thread as a separate post. Hope y'all like what I've done so far, and stay tuned ... 'cause there's more to come!

That is just great stuff. My only complaint on Batman is the short ears but that's not your fault, it's just the design. But everything just looks awesome.

oooo! Green Arrow looks spiffy! Like the Black Canary too, very youthful looking. So is she the third or the second when you say daughter of the original? You mean daughter of Diana, as in Dinah, or the daughter of Dinah?

Man Trisaber, those are AWESOME pics! I don't know which one I like more - they all rock. I'd love to see some action poses for the characters in the future - your style is almost bang-on to the animated style. :)

Glad you like 'em, Tim. To answer your question about action poses, eventually I plan to have a section on my new site as an art gallery of these characters in different poses (and if I manage my time right, I may even be able to take commissioned art request from fans). For now, though, I'm concentrating on these static images which are going to be part of an entry for each Golden Age hero. But stay tuned. There's more to come!

The current Black Canary that's part of the Birds of Prey and the new JSA is Dinah Laurel Lance (she's the one with the sonic scream or "canary cry"). She is the daughter of the Golden Age Black Canary, whose real name is Dinah Drake Lance. She married a private detective named Larry Lance and ... well ... one thing led to another and poof: Dinah Laurel Lance was born. At least, that's the way I remember the story. :)
And without further ado (or excessive yakking on my part), here's my latest: Speedy, the sidekick of the Golden Age Green Arrow.

Until next time ... stay outta trouble. :D

Awesome stuff! They're all very neat and professional! I especially like how you add in the blurred comic background; it gives the drawings an extra theme.
Not much else to say, everything speaks for itself. I really can't wait to see more of your stuff :)

Glad you're liking the show so far, folks. And now for something a little different. Thought I'd get off the spandex boys and girls and do a Golden Age hero that's a bit more down to Earth. I present you with Blackhawk!
Enjoy. :D

You oughta send these off to DC Comics, too - just to see what they say. Seriously, they're really that good.

Thanks a lot, folks. Maybe I can steer a few of the DC higher-ups towards my site when it's finally up. In the meantime, here's my takes on the Golden Age Hawkman. As you can see, there are two versions: The first is with the original hawk mask, and the second is with his Sliver Age cowl.

Howdy, folks. I'm back again with another Golden Age offering. This time, I decided to create a series of images using my own style instead of Bruce Timm's or Anime or the one for X-Men: Evolution. So I present to you the Golden Age Superman a la TriSaber. Hope you like.
later. :dexter:

Hey TriSaber, these illustrations are excellent! No doubt some of the best I've seen yet.
I use the ghost backgrounds as well in the humble attempts I make at art, but kudo's to the way you incorporated those covers into the pic. Great choice of characters to boot -- can't go wrong with DC's Golden-Agers!
My recent "Animated" illustration (got some Golden Age characters hanging out around here somewhere):

Keep up the great work -- bring on the All-Stars!

Hey, thanks a lot, Texcap. I love the Golden Age DCU, too (but then, you already knew that). And that's a great Wonder Woman you whipped up. I spotted it over on DCUA, but I didn't get the chance to comment on it. Wonderful (pardon the pun) work.
