I'm sorry, but I'm confused. Punctuate that and give it another go, because it sounds to me like you're saying that you get the Gameboy games on a second bonus disc.

Oh yeah, I pre-ordered Wario World today and I got Wario Land 1-3 remade on one Gamecube disc! Plus I got a mini GBA cartridge of a remake of Super Mario Land 2, where Wario debuted. Okay sorry about the sarcasm, but I just don't believe any of this info.

Yeah--I'm VERY skeptical about this, too...I've only heard info on Ocarina of Time & "Master Quest/Ura-Zelda"--nothing at all about a GB version included...I don't think it is....

I got mine from Walmart and have heard of no such thing. I called my friend Mark who works at the EB I used to work at upon reading this thread and he says that there's no such deal in the works.
I hate calling people liars but you be's that. :D Unless of course you have a scanner or some sort of proof. I'm skeptical as heck. Although it does sound cool, but doesn't most fantasy ?

I got mine on Saturday too (the menu music rocks! a combination of hyrule field, main theme, and opening to Link to the past)
and it has no such thing as the GBA game on it. it has some VIDEOS of upcoming games (Wario World, F-zero, and others) that includes footage of the GBA game and Fours Swords 9the multiplayer game) but the game is not included onthe disk, just Ocarina and ura Zelda (aka Master Quest)

I didn't think it was coming out till the 16th?
sometime walmart puts things out a day or two early
but this is unheard of
it wasnt at my walmart and i was there yesterday
so how did you guys get it
or is this just one of those thing people joke about

I just got mine in the mail today (I pre-ordered mine over the EB website). The only thing GBA related is a video of Link to the Past (surprise, surprise). Anyway, one thing I was pleased to find was a Wind Waker special preivew booklet that's full of lots of really cool artwork, characters, and item details.
Then, of course, there's Ocarina of Time, which I was never had a chance to play on the N64, so I'm very excited about getting the chance to play it now.

Well I thought I was going to get mine today, but it looks like they (gamestop) aren't getting any of the pre-orders until the 15th at earliest. (::chucks eggs at store::)

actually, many shops got them early, including my locaql gamestop, but it is illegal to give them out before the 16th. nintendo said they would pull the stock from anyone cought giveing them out before then... so whatch out wallmart... this was all told to me by my local gamestop manager...

walmart is notorios for breaking rules :\
for example my bro worked at a hastings and reported em
for underpricing alot of things but it doesn't effect em
(regular sales not clearance under wholesale)
walmart is too big to do much about it.
generaly it's just somone gets fired hehe
and since i don't like half the people in my electronics dept there.
it wont be a problem with me hehehe
Well it is JUST a promo type deal It's not like they already have
the actual thing yet. We can always depend on walmart to
give us stuff too early so better get em before they catch on
I need to get out there soon if i have time.
before nintendo starts jumpin em

Yeah, they said they can't give them out until the Wind Waker is released over here as well. You guys with the games already are lucky.

They actually called me to tell me mine was in. Gamestop also called my best friend. I wonder how exactly Nintendo will find out which stores are doing this, other than ones in the state where the NOA offices are.

They're just not supposed to release them until
the 16th about... ): } i got one yesterday hehehe
sharp images very nice some rooms in the masterquest are
completely changed such as one area of rooms in
the 2nd level with some pretty neat puzzles to figure out.
it's gonna end up as something that will be worth alot i think
since it is only available like this.
and those who don't have it will regret it i imagine
only problem i had was the wierd transition between menus
and the game itself.. and the saving
but those are minor in comparison to how good it looks on
a system with at least twice as much everything.
they can afford to put stuff like this out because of all those little
movies in it. all in all good game well done
the previews for wind waker actualy look awsome
they improved on it alot since the first images of the
dwarven link with meowth eyes lol
he's a little taller now and the eyes are great in this
(one of their new ideas in it)
wind particle drift is another new idea in this one which
of course hence the name they use alot.
at first when i saw it, i was shocked and repulsed
but they fixed it now so i strongly recomend it
i expect to see some references to the older zeldas in here
last no you can reserve em now and get the special version
of OoT it's a promo deal. and free too
so you don't have to wait until Wind Waker comes out
jsut maybe in some places til the 16th

Got mine on Friday (best V-day gift i ever got myself, lol). . . . and now i'm stuck in the deku tree of MQ.... anyone know how to light the torches on the other side of the river. The deku stick keeps burning out just before i get there..... (its the room with the moving platform under the spinning spike pole thing).
Still, its great to see play again w/ out the fuzzy lines from my N64 (the connector going bad or something). Only complaint is the saving time. I like to save alot. Oh well.
Other than that, I liked the WW preview. It's the first time that I've seen it in action (my 56K modem doesn't exactly like downloads) and I'm impressed. Too bad I now have to deal with 'this sucks. it looks worse than the ppg' from my siblings (no offense to the ppg).
GO ZELDA!!!

I went to EB games and bought Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island, and saw the Ocarina of Time/Ocarina of Time Master Quest discs on the shelf. They told me they'd call me when they come in, sometime on the 16th, 17th, or 18th, so I can go pick mine up, but I didn't think they'd be around NOW. I just asked if I could have one even though I didn't have my reserve ticket with me and they gave me one. I need to start playing it soon.

Couple questions..
1. Is OOT on Gamecube any diff than the N64 version(better graphics, more gameplay?)
2. What is ura Zelda/Master Quest?
3. Whats all this talk of GBA is this is released on Gamecube?

1. No, it's the same. As for the game play, I'm not so sure.
2. Master Quest is the more difficult version of Ocarina of Time, that wasn't released in the US until now. It's challenging because it has more dungeons or something.
3. That question is rather unclear.

1. The graphics are slightly better...nothing major, but they are a bit better.
2. It's a re-done version of OoT that was never released outside of Japan. It features re-tooled Dungeons, new enemies and other tiny doo dads.
3. In TWW, if you have a GBA and a GBA-to-Cube connector cable, the person on the GBA can control one of Link's allies..sort of a co-op type thing I guess.

You think the graphics are better this time? I haven't noticed any improvements.
That ally of which you speak is Tingle. If this is the only thing you get for connecting the two games, then I'd rather not shell out more bucks for a game I've already got on SNES.

I don't have the bonus disc yet, but according to Nintendo, IGN and IGN Board members, the graphics are slightly better...*shrugs*
Yeah, Tingle! that's his name.. :) I'm a bit confused by the SNES portion of your post..so I can't respond to that part..

Just picked up Ocarina of Time and now that I finally have the game I've been waiting forever to play... I can't get anywhere!
They don't give you many clues as to where Link can find the sword.
Could someone give me a hint or tell me the clue that I'm missing?

I got it today, and I'm wondering whether I should open it or not. I'm sure these are great, fun games, but I think a sealed copy will fetch a pretty penny in a couple years, or not; you never know.

Ah, Johnny boy, I'll help ya out. :p In Kokiri, there is a a small hill. On this hill, there is a small tunnel. Have Link crawl through it. Once on the otherside of this tunnel, you will see a path with a bolder rolling around in it. Go into this path, keep alert of the bolder, and you find a treasure chest. In the chest you'll get your sword.

I had the same problem. :(
The hill Mysterious Saturn mentioned is the one with the training area and the "Know-it-all-brothers" house. Here, go through the course without actually doing any of the excersies, then find the tunnel.
You'd expect to get the sword at the beginning of the training course, not the end. But, such is not the case.

For the greatest adventure game of all time, they really don't lend much help with clues and whatnot.

Please use the Official Talkback (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66419) for this game--there's a reason why it's there.
In addition, zelda.com, the official site, has walkthroughs for both OoT and MQ.

i just got my copy of the bonus games today and i'm already in the dodongo cavern's! (dungeon two) i'm happy to see that when nintendo said that master quest had mixed up dungeons, they didn't just mean subtle differences.
i mean, fire bats in the great deku tree??? wow!!!
i'm hoping master quest will take me awhile, because i'm going to try and get through it with out having to use a walkthrough

Wow. The Fire Temple became a real pain in the ass.
They give you the Boss Key and the Hammer right away, and the rest of the temple is trying to get the pillar down to get to the boss door.
Plus those "axe guys" show up early.

What I meant is that I've got A Link To The Past for the SNES already, so I don't need to get the GBA version. I'm told that with the GBA version, you can use it to control Tingle in The Wind Waker when you connect them with the Gamecube/GBA connection cable. So if that's all the GBA version of A Link To The Past is good for, then I don't need it.

Why not combine this thread and the Spotlight thread?
