View Full Version : Reign Commercial During Johnny Bravo!!
What the heck? Just after JB ended, they showed a longer promo for Reign.
Well, I guess they're allowed to air commercials after kids get home now. Wonder if they'll air it during Toonami...

That's interesting. But I have to wonder if it was just a programming mistake. I guess we'll find out if it happens again.

"Cause little Johnny, Alexander was...how do I say this without damaging your pyshce forever. Well I can't. Ask your mother."
Interesting point though I belive Alexander did have a little bit more then friendship with a couple of guys in his army. Could be wrong but I doubt it. So showing him in armour that Richard Simmons probably modeled isn't too far off.
Good sign though that they are advertising adult swim earlier. Maybe more people will start watching. Then again seeing that maybe not :D

Interesting. I think the real test is if one airs during Toonami. Your average Johnny Bravo viewer probably wouldn't be interested in Reign anyway.
True Fact- Some historians suspect that Alexander the Great was a homosexual. Think about that, along with Neo-Alexander's outfit.

They all wear thongs. It's the thongy world of Reign.

I wouldn't expect it during Toonami.
They don't want the Toonami crowd watching AS.
I know, I know, airing it before Toonami may not make much sense either, but I think I know what they're thinking. Johnny Bravo's behavior does appeal to adults (it's the side characters and Johnny being beaten up that appeals to kids) even if it isn't a good show, so it makes for a good transition gate.
If CN wants to air AS ads, here are times they'll probably show them:
10-2 PM (Looney Tunes and Hanna Barbera appeal to adults much more than kids these days)
7 PM-10 PM (Primetime hours have universally been good times for networks to advertise their late night stuff. FOX does it, NBC does it, CBS does it, even Nick-At-Nite does it).
And of course, 11 PM - 6 AM.
A couple months ago, I saw some Adult Swim promos around 8:00 or 9:00, I was very surprised to see them on that early, but at 3:30 PM? Hehe, this is getting good. :]

Yeah, but Nick-at-Night doesn't have Greek leaders riding around in metallic thongs and slicing up his enemies...

You never know; The Brady Bunch gets pretty out there sometimes. :p

Sure, but Nick At Nite has aired TV-PG and TV-14 material before (I've heard they've been able to convert All in the Family from TV-14 to TV-PG without editting it, but I'm not sure how).

Also, don't expect them to air anything during CCF. At least, not for now.

Considering they seemed to avoid airing Char's Counterattack during the Midnight Run, I'm going to guess AS ads wont air during Toonami too.

It's not that out there... Lots of people wore gay-lookin' stuff back then without knowing it. Ever see those Roman soldiers with the skirt thingies?

I could swear that they used to show InuYasha ads during ASC. Why don't they advertise ASA during ASC now?

Yeah, they used to do that, but now that ASA is on weekdays, they don't anymore. That's not a reason, I'm just saying that that's when they stopped. :(
Also, how come they can still advertise ASC during ASA, if this is really done for the purpose of keeping the blocks separate? That's not seperate. That's just the CN execs saying "ASA is stoopid, noone watches it exept superloud and hes stoopd too". (All spelling errors 100% intentional :D)

"AS is for adults, no AS is for all ages. Lets put on late at night during weeknights, no lets air it on Saturday nights after Toonami."
CN really needs to get their facts straight and they need to start aiming AS at a specific group and only that specific group!

Or at all groups, which is what im hoping...then CN may become an all ages network, than we can watch AS earlier....far fetched dreams....
