Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery-A 1960's hipster secret agent is brought out of cryofreeze to oppose his greatest enemy into the 1990's where his social attitudes are glaringly out of place.

Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me-Dr. Evil is back...and has invented a new time machine that allows him to go back to the 60's and steal Austin Powers's mojo, inadvertently leaving him "shagless".

Austin Powers in Goldmember-Upon learning that his father has been kidnapped, Austin Powers must travel to 1975 and defeat the aptly-named villain Goldmember - who is working with Dr. Evil.

The original by far. I think it would have been better as a stand alone movie rather than a franchise. It's gone downhill since.

Goldmember. Dr. Evils finest performance and not a complete rip off of the first one. Some quotes

Nigle Powers "Look at you, you don't have a name badge! You don't a chance son! Just lie down son, be a good boy"

*Mini-Me comes behind him with a gun"

Nigel Powers "Easy peasy Lemon squeasy"

Absolutely, positively and without a doubt...

The original.

Not only is it the best of the series, but it's one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Why, you ask?

* - The toilet humor that would dominate the sequels is largely absent here

* - The gags ("Shhh!") hadn't yet lost their freshness

* - One quotable line after another ("All right, guard. Begin the unnecessarily slow-moving dipping mechanism." "Dr. Evil! I did not spend six years in Evil medical school to be called 'Mr.', thank you very much." "I hate you! I hate you! I wish I was never artificially created in a lab!")

* - Sure, Heather Graham and Beyonce Knowles are sexy, but more than Elizabeth Hurley?! Yeah, right!

That's my argument, folks.

I'm with Lonestarr 100% on this one. Neither of the sequels has come close to matching the freshness of the first.

The first, why? Read the following.

I gotta go with the first one. Every joke was fresh and orginal when that movie came out. I really didn't like spy who shagged me. Goldmember was OK.

Another vote for the first. Just caught me completely off guard, since I thought it would be really stupid. And who doesn't love Liz Hurley?

I liked the first one the most. The second one was alright and the third one was alright too but could've been better.

Being the fanatic that I am, all of them are great to me. The first one was all about spoofs and the second one was the one that got me hooked. The Spy Who Shagged Me had the best scenes and one-liners. Goldmember was sort of like the second one.

I love all of them, and the first two are excellent (and the third is average). The favourite is definitely THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME - it took all that was great about the original, and raised it all to a new level, with some great original characters. That, and I just loved Mini-Me. :)

Even though I'm so sick of all three of those movies, I had to vote for The Spy Who Shagged Me.
The jokes were better than the first, and they lampooned alot more of the real world than the other two.
The first one was somewhat decent, and Goldmember was just trying too hard.

The first one. It was actually pretty witty at some parts.

I would have to say Goldmember.

The original because it's the only one that was original. The quality of the jokes declined almost as much as the talent and beauty of the supporting actresses.

The first was the best. The second was good and the third was good but lacked anything original. Don't get me wrong they were all great movies but Mike could have done much better job on the third one.

Of course it's the first one. I thought it would be stupid, but when I actually got around to watching it I found it to be quite well-written and entertaining.

The other two are examples of what happens when greed causes film studios to turn a one-shot premise into a "franchise."

"Allow myself to introduce...myself." :D

Really I didn't want to like Austin Powers, but it played so much in the store I was working in and I found myself laughing anyway and just fell in love with it. So the first one will always remain my favorite.

"Who does Number 2 work for???" LOL!

I thought that Goldmember was pretty sucky and found Beyonce to be annoying. The first movie is by far the best.

I don't really like Austin Powers, but the original's probably the best, as are most movies with sequels. :)

I liked The Spy Who Shagged Me the best, because it was just over the top and silly :)

International Man of Mystery is #2 (pardon the pun, Calico :D) because it set a president and it was witty

Goldmember was alright, but it didnt keep my attention as well as the other two. Although, I DID like the Goldmember character (I think I'm the only one on the Eastern sea-board :p)

He was my favorite too and I'm in the Eastern sea-board. So now the count is up to 2 now :p Escpecially the deleted scenes with him. Those are the best.

Well I could've gone the easier way and just voted for all three, but I wanted to pick and ended up chosing Goldmember.

At first I wasn't sure if I really cared for it, but after I thought about it and watched the movie and few more times I just had to go with the one featuring "Austin Power's fajah." I have never laughed out loud so much in a theater. If that's not a sign I don't know what is.

The amount of quotable material in this movie is one of the highest I have seen and I just love that sort of stuff.

So who else wants to vote for Goldmember?

"...No? You don't have to." :D

I agree completely. The lines that I say in real life are all from the second and third movies, and I remember laughing at them more. In fact, the more I watch Goldmember the more I love about it. It actually gets funnier with viewings.

The first was great, but I voted for the second. I think it was an improvement on the first, and it had more memorable lines and instances. I just liked it more.

But the first is right there, because it's the first. Still, just because it was the first doesn't mean it got my vote. :)

"Pipe and a crepe?"

I loved Goldmember too. :D
