Y'know, I actually wanna see this, if for no other reason than Jackie Chan is cool.

There's gotta be a third that takes place in China.

Wonder what it'll be called....

"Shanghai.....something-or-the-other"? :D Though I'm gonna see this, I think he(and others such as Jet Li) are starting to become pigeon holed in these type of law enforcement type of roles. I mean, it just seems like in almost every movie, they're either an innocent bystander(who just so happens know Kung fu) caught up in some type gang violence, or they're some type of high ranking law enforcer from China(or Japan, take your pick) sent to America to team up with some comic sidekick to fight crime(drugs, terrorism, again, take your pick). I just hope it doesn't get too played out soon.....

I really liked Shanghai Noon, but the commercials made this sequel look not-that-great. I'll likely see it at some point, but I'm going to wait for some reviews first...

I think it's gonna be called Shangai Dawn. Though it may be only a working title.

I thought this movie was very entertaining and, aside from one re-used joke (Roy's dream vs. reality), it showed no signs of sequelitis. No annoying reintroductions of characters, or retreading familiar ground.

My only complaint is that the cinematography made some of the fights a little hard to make out. You see a lot of twirling and rushing and wooshing, but in some scenes the camera was too close or obscure for me to notice who was doing what to whom.

Well, it's getting a fresh rating at the ever-reliable Rotten Tomatoes (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/ShanghaiKnights-1120269/), but not by too much. It looked decent...

I just saw it and I loved it. I liked it better than the original! The girl that plays Ling in this is WAY cuter than Lucy Liu. Jackie actually gets to crack a few good one-liners of his own in this one, unlike the original and the Rush Hour movies. Donni Yen did a great job as the villain, and had a great death-scene.

Go see it!

I saw it this evening. I'll probably do a review tomorrow. All I'll say for now is that the woman who play Chon's sister is seriously hot. It's ridiculous.

I loved this movie. Way better then the original. Loved the Yen/Chan fight (now if I could see a fight with Yen and Jet I'd be set). And Fann Wong is seriously hot. Favorite moment of the movie:

When Lin licked Roy on his face

This movie fits under that rare category where the sequal was better than the first! :)

The jokes, fight scenes, writing, etc... everything was better.

And Fann Wong is hot :D

Try Once Upon a Time in China 2 for Yen & Jet.

BTW I didn't like Shanghi Noon (I fell asleep trying to watch it), but this one sounds better - I think I might try it - Thanks.

I saw it yesterday. I agree that this was better than Shanghai Noon in nearly every department. I especially enjoyed the fight scenes and there were some great lines from Owen Wilson.

Also, Fann Wong is a cutie.

I loved this movie. It was better than Noon in every way. I can't believe it lost to a romantic comedy though. Here's hoping for part three.

Hey, that wasn't bad at all. Better than Noon, actually. Some parts weren't funny at all, and others were hilarious. The huge action sequence in the marketplace was great--- very unique use of props and things. A great movie and worth the time.

3 1/2 out of 5.

*slips in* Well I've never ever pulled a thread up to the front page when it was 3-4 pages back, let alone 9! But well, this is still in theaters and I only now had a chance to see it.

That being said, this was just beyond flipping hilarious. It really was actually better then the first. I love the first, but Knights had as much humour and so much more to make fun of. As a big Sherlockian, I got such a kick out of "Artie" Doyle. Chan and Wilson are such a great pair on screen together, they're so enjoyable to watch. One of my favorite scenes had to be Chan dancing/fighting to Singing in the Rain, that was classic. Bloopers were a hoot as well.

I liked Shang High Knights....it had its incredibly hilarious moments and it had its incredibly..."Uhh...thats just not right" moments. I'm glad I saw it but I think they could have cut back on the dirty jokes. It gets so old.

Oh BTW, my fav scene was..

the pillow fight!!!! The random guy jumping with them was soooo funny!!! :D
