I liked it, but the Roger Rabbit character got kinda annoying.

Well, I've always liked it too. I thought it was a great movie... not the best ever, mind you, but a worthwhile animated/live action movie to watch. There are quite a few good moments in it....

Roger finally removing his hand from the cuffs on a whim. Valiant asks if he could have done that all along. Roger replies, "No. Only when it was funny."

The frenetic car chase between Roger & Eddie, Benny the Cab, and the Weasels ("Hey, Roger, whattaya call the middle of a song?").

In the end, when Valiant is killing all the weasels... "I'm through with takin' falls. I'm bouncin' off the walls. When I get done, I'll have some fun. I'll kick you in the..." (CLUNK!") Roger chimes in, "Nose!" "Nose??!! That don't rhyme with walls!" Eddie comes back, "I know... but THIS DOES..." (Kicks the weasel VERY painfully into dip).

I do agree that Roger's character got kind of annoying after awhile, though. He basically just stayed in his zany, off-the-wall mode throughout the entire movie. That may have been the point but it doesn't really give him much personality.

I also think that the three Maroon Cartoons which appeared before "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids", "Dick Tracy", and "A Far Off Place" respectively were kind of milking the cow dry, if you know what I mean....

For little moi the great thing about "Who Flamed Roger Rumpot?" :D was the chance to have Bugs and Daffy and Betty Boop back on the big 'silver-screen' where they've always belonged!!! (That and Jessica Rabbit...;)).

Now iffffff they'd actually made good on their promises for a feature sequel then that would have appeared to have been great fun too... (At the end we supposedly found out WHO Roger Rabbit's father was... :p )

Being also a fan of railroads and transit, the fact that huge electric-powered streetcars would also be featured in it drew me to it as much as the animation/live interaction did.

I missed the third one. Were these ever put out on video?

I'm going to have to say both, since I have seen many times and found it to be funny but I just have some bad feelings from it and it just does not fit with me too well at the same time.

It's an awesome movie.

I believe that the three shorts are going to be released on the Special Edition DVD this March. I do not know if they have been released on video.

Yes, they were. A few years ago, Disney Home Video released a tape called The Best Of Roger Rabbit. It has all three shorts, complete.

As for the movie, I LOVED it. Can't wait for the new DVD this March - BTW, the DVD will also have the three shorts on it.

I really liked the movie ever since I was a kid and saw it on TV.

I really liked Roger and how insane and rubbery he was. He had these extremely scrawny arms which made me when he struggled to hold up the fridge, I learned a lot of animation skills from this movie. I also liked the director-character on-set relationship.

It also can be a very sad movie, like when Eddie talks of his brother dying.

This is definetly a Speilberg classic. I plan to get the new two-disc DVD release - I always yearned to see the edited pig scene where Eddie gets a "Toon-a-roo"

I wish they'd get permission from Columbia, they could've gotten in the Fox and Crow (who, after seeing their cartoons for the first time thought they definetly belonged in this film)

I liked "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" a lot. Love or hate it, this film was the best thing to happen the old cartoon shorts for a while, as it created a renwed interest in them. (Until Disney and WB licensed Bugs Bunny and Mickey to death in their respective Studio stores, but that is a different topic...) Classic cartoons need another push like this to get them back in the public eye.

I've always liked "who framed roger rabbit" the idea of live action and animation clashed together has lways intrigued me for some reason. Plus seeing Disney characters and Warner Brother characters interactng with each other was really fun to watch. I don't own it unfortunatly. :( Maybe i'll get the DVD when it comes out! The special features for that will proably be very interesting. :D
