I'm not in NYC and DC but I'm here and I was concerned about one thing....does everyone heard from Rock-It-Shipper lately, he's from NYC. I hope he's okay, he's the one that understands my favorite Japanise anime shows. I remember on that Caption This he had post something that is funny. I hope he's okay. :(

Well everyone, i think i'm going to have to sign off now and go to bed. I probably won't be sleeping any time soon, but... i don't know.

I just want to send out my final wishes for one of the worst days i've ever experienced. I just pray that God protect and help everyone involved in this. And judging by the impact of this site alone, i'd say the people involved are everyone.

This has just been a crap day. There's no other way i can say it here.

I'm sure the next few days will be rough, but I really hope that the US uses this tragedy to pursue only the surviving perps and their accessories... Innocents harmed by a foreign power... Moumentai, then, y todo es bien! I e-mailed you about an hour after I first heard the news, and I considered dashing off a follow-up, but I'm glad to see I didn't need to. To be honest my initial thought (it was eight a.m. and I was buggy-eyed and drowsy) was that some fool had cracked up a private plane on the Trade Towers...shades of JFK Jr. Then I realized it was far worse, and deliberate, and well-schemed. My usual talk-radio shows were preempted for coverage; ditto for most of the major TV stations' programming. So by two in the afternoon I felt a headache coming on. When my brother called about the gas prices--which he heard about from a tanker driver at work--I thought it was just second-hand gossip and kept him on the phone trying to piece together what he was saying. Even then it seemed like one thing had nothing to do with the other--if the planes are suspended, but the gas is shipped by truck, what's the issue? If it's that the planes deliver it from overseas and it's too politically hot over there, tap domestic sources. Just leave the prices alone. So there's another headache for me. Ben wanted Mom to go for gas, though she'd just been shopping and wasn't keen on going back out, not even to the church prayer meeting for the victims.
Ben and Becca are taking their meals over here because their place has a gas stove (we have electric)...which puts more work on me with more mouths and a deadline on my butt...though they'll be moving in with us next week anyway, so I guess that's no big surprise. They'll be able to save on fuel they eat up driving up from Gosnell and put that money in the baby's college fund. :)
Long rant aside, yesterday's events are a kick in the cojones for America in general. The ramifications of the blast spread like someone flatulating in the corner of a crowded room. Everybody gets ill from the stink. :mad:

Just checking in everybody. That's really sweet you guys wanted to do a roll call to make sure everyone is around. It reminds me of what a strong loving community these boards have. Sorry bout that just there, but getting mushy at times is just part of my personality.
