Remember the Nokia N-Gage, the cell-phone/GBA wanna-be? Well, some first details have been released here (http://www.gamers.com/news/1311405). Enjoy (or not; it's up to you).

At least people can't complain about their cell phone games sucking.

As wacky as it might sound, I WANT Nintendo to retain their portable monoply. It just makes buying a portable easier.

I don't know. A little competition never hurt anyone. This product definitely isn't going to give Nintendo a run for their money but hopefully one will someday.

Here is a link to Nokia's official N-Gage site: http://www.n-gage.com/n-gage/home.html

Personally I'm very curious to see how it does. The aspects of a cell phone, MP3 player, game boy, camera, and fm radio all in one is very appealing. But I'm still waiting to see a price on this monster. :)

I just hope it's not a T-Mobile only phone. I like AT&T and I really don't feel like having to change carriers if I decide to get this. If this is handled correctly, I really think it might be able to put a dent in Nintendo's control over the handheld market. Being able to play games over the net is the part that I think will do it. Plus the addition of a MP3 player is very nice imo. :D

So far the titles of the games they have don't look that great. They have a total Mario Kart ripoff called Kart Racing. But still that would be a blast to play over the internet. :) But thanks to Sega they have Sonic and Super Monkey Ball. They really need to get some more companies signed on to make games...

I guess we will all have to wait and see how it does and if it does everything it says it will. According to the FAQ we should see it sometime at the end of this year. Should be a interesting Christmas at least. :)

4. How much will the game deck cost?
The price will vary from market to market, as the retailers determine final retail prices.I was curious on that too... With all the features it has I would have to guess that it could be $200 plus. :-/

Another thing I just noticed is the screen, it's kind of shaped wierd. Instead of being wide like a GBA, it's tall. The screen would be perfect for Tetris, but it would suck for anything else. I also wish they made a flipup model like the new GBA coming out in March. Considering it's a cell phone as well and everyone carries them around on them, the N-Gage is too ackward to keep on you at all times.
