This may get me banned, but I just have to let everyone know who can't get to a TV right now.

The World Trade Center has been attacked by hijacked planes on both towers, and the South tower has collapsed. Also, a helicopter has crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, DC.

Damn you, whoever did this!

Pentagon in flames....WTC buildings destroyed....many lives are lost says New York mayor Guliani...oh my god. I hope God helps all who have been affected by this tradegy.

I truly hope the terrorists go to Hell. They deserve it. And as a BIG U.S. patriot you do noy know how truly PO'D I'm feeling...

This is truly awful!! I heard all of this while driving to work this morning! I cannot believe this is happening!! I'm listening to all of this on the newsradio station here in Chicago. They have already evacuated the SEARS Tower and the Daley Center building. All airports have had all flights grounded for the duration.

I hope all who are responsible for this act are hunted down and skinned alive! This is really a bad day indeed!

I was in Phsychology class, the teacher had stepped out a minute and another teacher told him. We got to watch the news for the rest of the hour. It was alful, I saw one of the towers fall down, and now I've heard the other one collapsed. We then got to listen to it on the radio for part of art class.

Supposedly the airplanes had around 150 passenegers in all, and the trade center towers contain well over 100,000 people every day. I haven't heard much about the Pentagon, though. It doesn't seem as damaged.

Please everyone, pray for Eileen's (Harley's) stepfather, who was supposed to be at the World Trade Center this morning. There's no way of knowing where he is or if he's okay.

I will pray for him, Brian.

All planes have been grounded except for some fighter patrols. Also, Bush has already ordered an investigation. The Pentagton looks like it took a pretty bad beating, though. And BOTH towers have gone down....a part of New York we never thought would go down has.

It's said that Osama Bin Ladin did this....I can give better news at the AniGen board. Check it out there.

Some people (mainly senators, forget the name) are calling this "A second Pearl Harbor".

Oh no, that terrible, I'll pray that Harley's stepfather is alright. I hope they get whoever is responsible for this attack.

I was in the WTC a few days ago! Creepy ain't it? All my prayers are out to all the victims and Harley's stepdad. I always saw the Twin Towers all my life since I live near a waterfront that I can see it. Now with the attack, it's scary to see it in ruins. When my dad took me out of school, I was happy to leave until I found out what happened. This is what I'll say,

This is another day which will live in infamy.

I'm not joking. This is some serious crap (Pardon my French)

By the way this is my 100th post.

This day will be chiseled into history...

I hate saying this, but this is war material!

We can only pray that this is the end of the attacks...although the end of these people's suffering is far from over. The terrorists are cowards and WILL pay for their craven actions! (Whether they're alive or dead!)

It's even more sickening that people in the Middle East are actually CHEERING these incidents and saying "God is good" in relation to this! What a waste of human life... :(

I'm shocked to say the least.

As many of you may or may not know, Brittany and I simulate airline flights on the computer using Microsoft Flight Simulator 98. This hits me hard, and it hit her as hard as well.

Having also flown as passengers on airlines, we both feel a sense that we've been violated.

Pray for the families everyone.

CN's one of the few networks not covering it. Everyone else is.

ARREST??? These MF's should pay with their LIves. There are probably 10's of thousands of victims, including family. I know I used to live in NYC. Do you really think that arresting them is going to bring justice? I THINK NOT. This is WAR.

PS- My sister worked on the 82nd floor of WTC 1. Thank God she was able to be evacuated. There were people jumping out of the buildoing to their deaths.

When these people get caught, I will PERSONALLY STRANGLE THEM WITH MY BARE HANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What Bosko what say to this:

"Those dirt f--kers!!!"

I will pray for Harley's stepfather.

Also, thank God Glenn's sister escaped alright. And to add insult to injury, those *****-holes got WOODY WOODPECKER canceled today! Not exactly the WORST thing in the world, I'm just to excited over this stuff.

Also, my dad was supposed to go to a conference around NYC, but halfway there, he turned back, so he'll be here shortly.

These people will be found and bombed. It sounds like a terrorist group, so hopefully tracking them down and bombing them will solve the problem. There is no way that you can expect to arrest them without loss of innocent life. People think that the U.S. is afraid to take action, and are losing respect now that we have Dubya in office. We need to strike back. Some people have mentioned war, but hopefully it won't come to that. We should be able to just bomb them, and that will hopefully end this nonsense.

I've been kind of expecting something like this to happen in the back of my mind, because terrorists have been increasingly attacking us for a while and some have not been punished (bin Laden). I didn't think it would be anywhere near this bad though.

Eileen's stepfather arrived home safely. He was about 5 minutes away from reaching the WTC when it happened. Eileen herself works at One Penn Plaza (on 34th St) and saw one of the planes fly by her office window. She's homely safely as well. Thanks everyone for your prayers and concern.

I have a co-worker whose father was on a buiness trip from Atlanta to New York today. Latest word is that he arrived safely but that he may now be in a hospital somewhere in NY. No news may be good news, but the waiting will drive you absolutely looney.

Sometimes it's hard to know how to pray in a situation like this, but I know from experience that's it's not what you pray that counts, it's the fact that we pray. God knows whats in our hearts, and though sometimes it may not seem like it, God is in control.

OK, OK, so I said the wrong thing... but you're right.

war?? That's not going to solve anything. People kill us, we kill them back? Ki-i-i-i-inda makes sense, but then they'll kill more of us. There's got to be some other solution than turning hundreds of people into charcoal, PO'd though we may be. Sure, we've WON wars, but when it all comes down to it, is war really a practical solution to anything?

Once the worst is over(will it be?), I feel like watching the WWII cartoons I have on tape.
To paraphrase Tex Avery(end of BlitzWolf): "Let's skin that skunk on a pole(Bin Laden)"

But I also feel like playing audiotape of Vietnam anti-war songs I madE(taped from radio):
"War!...What's it good for? Absolutely NOTHING! Say it again..."

I've never felt both sentiments more strongly than now. Retaliate and face revenge. Don't, and we're pushovers, and the terrorists win :( .

Somehow those terror animals should pay. But let's not sink NEAR their level.

And let's NOT return to the days of Japanese internment camps!

Peace.

It's good to hear that Harl's stepdad is okay.

I was talking to my mom about this mess, and she told me that she talked to my brother today. Apparently, one of my brother's friends lives in New York. She got a call from her mom. Her mom didn't tell her anything more than just that she had to come home. My understanding is that her dad does a lot of travel and was supposed to be on a plane today. Needless to say, all of the arrows are pointing in a very bad direction.:(

Sorry, Andrew, I don't like violence either, but when people attack you, there isn't much of a choice other than to retaliate in kind. When people blow your people up, you can't really hope to sit down and reason with them. Part of the reason why this is happening is because they think the U.S. won't take action against them, and the only way to stop them is to prove them wrong.

According to reports I've seen, the Kabul activity is a result of atacks by the rebel forces fighting Taliban control. They apparently decided to strike now. Apparently it isn't the U.S. military.

September 11, 2001 is a terrible day for the peoples of the world--even those seen cheering. They'll come to regret this day even if no direct action is taken against them.

The greatest loss of life in one day on American soil was some 22,000 souls. This happened during a Civil War battle. Today's toll is already very high and we must pray that it does not reach the Civil War level. Pray that the injured and bereaved find mitigation.

Over the coming days we will need both good luck and good management. Otherwise this day will mark the decline of global civilization.

I'm just glad that our TTTP family that lives in the NYC area is okay, and my thoughts and prayers are with all of the victim's families of this terrible tragedy....

I was at the World Trade Center this past Saturday night at a nightclub (called Greatest Bar On Earth) on the 107th flr. at 1 WTC, and just to see both buildings collapse today in front of my very own eyes made me numb and speechless. But sad to say, that my co-worker had to go to the WTC(around the time the buildings collapsed) and has not been heard or seen by anybody since this morning.

I can't even think straight, based on today's events...But these SOB'S WILL PAY FOR WHAT THEY HAVE DONE!!!!!!

Our NY Gov. George Pataki said that this was a second version of Pearl Harbor, and I couldn't agree with him more. Just seeing the events of the Pentagon in D.C. and the crash in PA. and here in Manhattan, you can only pray that there won't be anymore attacks here on American Soil.

It really made me angry when I saw those MOTHER CENSORED in WEST BANK. (adults and kids) cheering and celebrating for what happened in our country, made me wanna puke my ***** off...Really disgusting to watch these pack of savages...

We will get our revenge on Ben Laden, I would bet any amount of money that this SOB is behind all of this

What I can't believe is that this Ben Laden guy isn't dead already. He has so many terrorist attacks on his resume , shouldn't somebody have retalliated against him by now? Apparently he's not very hard to get to, because there was surely an interview with him. Even if he isn't responsible for the WTC incident we need to take care of him just for what he's done in the past. I mean, the guy has a recruiting video for more terrorists!!!

Actually, he's fairly hard to find. He's been given refuge in Afghanistan, moves around only at night and frequently changes location and has the money to provide very good security. That's why he's still around (may ravens feast on his eyes!) and he won't be easy to track down.

Fine. Let's give an ultimatum to the Craplackistan...err Afganistan Gov't (and other places like the UAE...):
Give up BinLaden and any terrorist in 24 hrs or risk total and utter annihilation of your infrastructure and/or turn everything into a smouldering crater. And of course, we can carpet-bomb the deserts. (Napalm? Propaganda manuals? NBC weapons?)
I suspect Iraq must have helped along in this operation. Even BinLaden couldn't do all of this alone. Gulf War II? WWIII?

I am as shocked and saddened about the events that occurred yesterday as everyone else. I am extremely relieved to read that everyone here on the TTTP is safe.

Matthew Hunter, who is still having computer problems, asked me to post this for him:

-----

Fellow cartoon fanatics:
As you all know by now, I am unable to post at the moment due to computer problems, but I will not worry about that at the moment. That's not why I am sending a message. I want to express my condolances to anyone, anywhere, that was in any way affected by the recent national disasters. I think the entire world has felt the shock of this, I personally believe it is one of the most amazing and terrible things I have seen in my short 17 years of existance. I was in (ironically) economics class when the news reached me, via our teacher who recieved an email and immediately turned on the TV, just as the second World Trade building was hit.
The events that unfolded and are continuing to unfold may change the lives of everyone in our country forever. It deeply saddens me that there are such evil people out there with the desire to harm innocent civilians like this. I have heard
this compared to the attack on Pearl Harbor, but this is not even close. It's worse. This was done by an unseen enemy, and instead of being aimed at a military base, it was aimed at thousands of innocent people. I urge all of you to pray for those who have died, those who may still be in need of rescue, and for those in any way involved with these horrors. I know that many of you are from the Eastern US, and I hope that you are all safe and well. Whether we will still be able to enjoy the freedoms that our internet forums and correspondences in the future, I do not know, but all we can do now is hope and pray. I hope I can touch base with you guys again soon, I will keep all of you in my prayers.

I'm just glad that Nelson in NY & Glenn in NJ are okay.

This has been the longest two days of my life. I sat in front of my TV screen last night until 2:30 CDT, my jaw dropped as far as it could humanly go as I watched images of people falling to their deaths. This morning I purchased both the Chicago Sun-Times & the Chicago Tribune. I spent my entire lunch hour absorbing all this tragedy. I still can't believe it happened...

I'm not a very religious man, but my prayers are with everyone who has lost a family member, a friend, or neighbor during this terrible ordeal. If God does truly exist, then justice will prevail.

Thanks Bart. We are just waiting to hear about my wife's cousin, who is among one of the Firemen. It doesn't seem too promising, but, you never know. I really feel bad for my 2 brother in-laws who have been working in Downtown Manhattan for the past 2 days. Since they are high ranking NYPD they have to be there. When I spoke to them earlier, they could hardly talk, trying to hold back the tears, just pulling out body after body, and just the terrible scene that they are witnessing. You never seen anything like that in you life, they said.

These guys will likely pay, big time. Personally, I think that all terrorists will be in big trouble, what with 300 MILLION Americans out for blood.

On a happier note, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero first aired 18 years ago. He-Man's first episode: "Diamond Ray of Disappearance". Joe's: "The Cobra Strikes", a.k.a. G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Part I (or, The MASS Device Part I). I don't think we've needed those heroes to be real any more than we do now..... :(

To all those who are concerned, because I have been receiving lots of phone calls and e-mails...

Well, perhaps as a sombering and sobering thought of this tragedy, I was in the basement of 5 World Trade Center exactly one hour before the first plane hit the north tower building. I was there picking up my usual morning newspapers, and after bypassing the Warner Bros. Studio Store (which was located on the same level), I went upstairs to the street to put a bill payment in a mailbox across WTC.

My work office of employment is located within the immediate area of the WTC, and while there were vibrations and some debris that landed on my building, I was able to escape this unspeakable destruction. When I finally reach a safe location far away from this tragedy, all I saw was a big thick coming out where the twin towers used to be.

Right now, I am slowly and recovering emotionally from this unspeakable act inflicted upon innocent citizens of my beloved hometown of New York City, the United States and the world. As I have said to others, now I will never see the same neighborhood, businesses and especially people who I have encountered for so long.

As soon as I am able to regain my full strength and spirit within myself, I will fully answer or respond to the messages of the common interests that unite us. In other words, I am still alive and still here!!!
