In my "Thematic Approaches To Literature", which I thought would be boring as hell, the professor chooses, what else:
The Hero Quest.
How cool is that? An entire quarter of nothing but heroes and epics and talking about UNBREAKABLE, THE MATRIX, and superhero movies, and being the expert. It gets better. I get to write a five page paper on Batman and the connections his legend has to the archetypal hero quest. The professor thought it was a fantastic idea. School CAN be fun.
