Is there anyone here who owns a Gamecube, PS2, AND X-Box?

*raises hand* Me! Well technically. My brother owns all 3, but I'm the only one that plays them.

As of now, I own more games for Cube, then PS2, then XBOX (oddly enough, we've had XBOX longer than PS2...). I'm having a heckuva time trying to find games on XBOX to buy...

But yes, I own/play all 3, and darn happy about it. :)

Well i'll answeby saying not I... its just that its impractical to buy all three when there are so fiew xbox exclusives i want... all i need is my PS2 for RPG's and my GC for nintendo stuff... then any third party stuff i pick up for itchever one hasthe better features...

I own just the Gamecube and PS2. I don't really have anything against X-Box, it just doesn't really reach to me. As is, I waited for the $150 price drop to get the PS2, and, even though we couldn't really afford it, my father picked me up a Gamecube for Christmas. So, even if I wanted a X-Box, it's not in my budget.

Naw. I just own an Xbox, but I don't plan to buy anything else. My ideaology for it is this. I don't buy a lot of games, but the ones I own, they should be the best in their repective genres. That doesn't seem to be the case with the other two.

But I hope I didn't commence flaming! :)

Leaving out the Dreamcast and GBA is naughty.

I don't...yet. Right now I only have an Xbox. I plan to get a job over the summer and hopefully get the other two.

Now what I've been asking myself recently is....which one first? Logically, I'd go with the PS2 first, just for the fact that there are more games for it I want. When I think about it, there are only about 6 GC games I want at the time: Metroid Prime, Smash Bros Melee, Pikmin, Mario Sunshine, Animal Crossing, and Super Monkey Ball. Yet, I have a strange way of looking at things. My figuring is that if I get a GC first, I can get all the games I want sooner and not feel like there's something I'm really missing on it. Though the point that it's $50 less also helps a bit....

My sister owns a Gamecube and my brother owns a PS2, but I play them as well. I don't own an X-Box, I would like to see the graphics on one of those things though. Plus there are a lot of good games out for it too!

I have all three. What can I say, I got caught up in all the buying hype, and since I had lots of money from holiday pay, a discount and a credit card, I bought all three. So far The PS2 and Gamecube have been justified, but besides Halo, PDO, and SW:KOTOR the X-Box hasn't really been as justified.

I owned a PS2 for a while before buying a Cube earlier this month, and I'm very happy with both so far(Animal Crossing is perhaps the most ridiculously addictive thing I've ever played). Maybe one day I'll get an X-Box, and I'm sure it's a good system, but I just don't feel that it's necessary at this point.

So what's the "best" on XBOX? I swear it's not my Nintendo fanboy-ism sneaking out again, but the only good game I can find on XBOX is JSRF--and that's really in a genre of it's own...

*is an Xbox fan*
*doesn't think Halo is the best Xbox game...or the second best...or third...or fourth...or fifth...or sixth...or seventh...or eighth...or ninth....tenth...maybe*

JSRF is THE best game on the Xbox. I do think that it is the best in a certain genre in this generation of consoles....well, if you call "Games" a genre....

Morrowind, Splinter Cell, Mech Assault, Phantom Crash, and Gun Valkyrie are all really excellent as well....

Mech Assault - Online
Halo - Best console FPS. Try and think of another one better then it.
Gunvalkyrie - 3rd person Action
Panzer Dragoon Orta - Rail shooter / Shooter
DOA3 - Fighting
Morrowind - RPG
Max Payne - Action
and for now, Splinter Cell - Stealth

And not to mention the games that are coming out...

In addition to my old consoles I own all three newer consoles and the GBA. I couldn't see doing it any other way. I hate it when there's a cool new game out and I can't play it. If I could afford it I would upgrade to a good gaming PC, also.

I have all 3 of them, PS2 because my sister's very nice, Gamecube for one of my birthdays, and I got the x-box from another one.

Well...first, I'm on a budget here!!! I own only the GC, but I would consider the PS2. The X-Box, I think, is a total waste of money because they have relatively few interesting, worthwile games, and you have to pay for so many add-ons to the system.

Maybe there's a few good X-box games, but the list definetly goes on for GC and the PS2.

Yeah like Xbox Live if you want to play online games and...umm...the DVD remote if you want to play DVDs...and....umm...I mentioned Xbox Live didn't I?

Own em all? No. But I own an Xbox, my brother owns the GCN, and my college buddy leaves his PS2 in my room periodically. So in a way, I have access to all systems at any time.

PS2 = memory cards, modem/bb adapter, hard drive. multi-tap

gc = modem/bb adapter, memory cards, doesn't play dvd's

Xbox = Xbox live, DVD remote

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Xbox wins in that statement.

Well...first of all, you still can't deny that both the PS2 and the GC have more better games the Xbox....

And how much does xbox live cost again? $50 sound about right? Add that with the $30 DVD kit and you got more than the GC and PS2, thats for sure! :)

By the way...why do you need a hard drive and memory cards for PS2?

Maybe I can't deny the PS2 but I can deny the GC all I want. To this date, there are only 6 games I want for it. Does that make it a bad console? No, I just don't think it's as good as the other two.

A large majority of people who own Xboxs either A)Have a DVD player or B)Have a PS2. Thus, there really aren't that many people who need to buy a DVD remote. So the only gaming related add on for the Xbox is Xbox Live. But you know what? Not everyone wants to play online games. So there are no required accesories or add-ons for the Xbox. On the other hand, GC and PS2 both require memory cards. But hey, if you count the DVD remote as a required add on, I guess the Wave Bird is too...

Oh and saying that $50+$30 is more than what all the PS2 accesories would cost is incredibly weird. The hard drive itself costs more than that.

By the way...why do you need a hard drive and memory cards for PS2?

From what I hear, the hard drive doesn't save games. Why, I have no idea. I could be wrong about all this. What does it do? Improves load times and does...something for certain online games like FFXI. Either way, it costs $100. The Xbox hard drive costs $0.

GC only has nintendo games. I really don't like 75% of nintendo games.

Maybe you didn't get it through you're head. What do you have to pay for online play for the PS2 and GC? Yup, 40 dollars. And on the GC, there's only one game, and it has a fee, and no voice chat for either of them.

And with the PS2 question. Do you like replaying the whole game over every time? Didn't think so. Also, the HD was showing that MS included something PS2 owners would need to buy if they wanted a similar effect.

I have a Gamecube and a PS2. I want an X-box for a couple games, but not enough to drop 250+ dollars on one.

Why is that strange for a girl? Don't get me wrong, I'm one of the few women in america that is a real gamer (and my customers love that I'm more informed, skilled and have played longer than some college-kids have been alive), but I don't think it's strange for girls (& women) to be gamers.

It's just more of a rarity.

To answer the question, I have all three current gen consoles. Along with all sorts of oldies already mentioned here. Still love the old ataris, colecos, amigas, intellivisions, segas, nintendos, 3do, sonys, et cetera, and still have them all.

I refuse to trade in/sell old consoles and games, because, hey... you never know when the urge to play Jump Boy Jr will next come over me...http://img.ranchoweb.com/images/guinaevere/girlsmile.gif

I would have to say I like PS2 the best though.
