What's your favorite kind of music?
I am into some pops, but basicly rock, wich I love.

I'm into hard-core punk, the kind only Avril can pump out :confused: Oh wait, that's country :D

Seriously though, I like early 90's rock, grunge (Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Tool), lots of soundtrack music (as long as it's not pop-ish). Pretty much anything but country or pop. Also, anything with the term "The next..." preceding it is right off ("The next N'Sync", The next Macarena")

Heh, Lavig..ne is straight pop.

I like mid-ninties alternative, sound garden, Smashing Pumpkins (Favorite Band), Radiohead, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Green Day, and Sonic Youth. I am liking Zwan and Audioslave, though.

Any music that doesn't irritate me I will listen to. That means I have no specific preference in genre, although I tend not to listen to modern pop, heavy metal, punk, modern rap, and country. Most of my favorite music comes from about ten-fifteen years ago.

Lots of things. I do have strong rock roots thanks to the punk rock hybrids I use to play in, but I extend out to pop, jazz, blues and classical. I love soundtracks (film, stage, anime, TV, video game) and fusion mixtures of different genres.

I like 80s, 90's....I dunno it varies with me. I really like Musicals(Phantom of the Opera!! :D) and I like sound tracs. ^_^ The stuff I stay away from is modern pop, rap and heavy metal and some country...depending on what it is. (there is some country I think is OK and some I cannot STAND!!)

I stick to rock alternative and I guess "emo" as I've heard it referred to. I also like to listen to old 70's funk and disco, 'cause it just so funny. Many rap songs have dancable beats, though I disagree with the "rich player" image. Teenybopper annoys me and I'm glad it's dying out. True, the latest stuff from pop-icons Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera is pure drivel, but it is SO much preferable to their old work.

i generally like anything in the style of 60s rock. i mean, i like more music than that, but that's my favorite. that includes music from the 60s, modern day jam bands (phish, moe., etc.) and some other current rock bands.

i also enjoy blues, jazz, country (old country only, none of that new crap) some heavy metal (not including hair bands), reggae (even though i have a feeling reggae was not created for people like me to listen to) and generally anything i like.

I do really have a distinct music preferance, however; I hate heavy metal and rap. Country's okay, every once in a while. I do like JLO's stuff through, shes pretty talented.

Pretty much indie music, I guess. Like Hefner, because they are pretty much all I listen to now a days.
I also like electric pop. Example would be Looper.
Bjork is pretty cool too, although I can't quite figure out how to label her, alternative...?????
I also have a lot of fun listening to blue grass, I can't name any bands though because I've only really heard blue grass music at festivals.

But most likely, I like anything that's related to Funk. Funk is the top on my list.

I'm into "Jam Rock" (bands like Phish, Grateful Dead etc.). I am a huge jazz fan, Miles Davis and Coltrane are two of my favorite artists. I also like Blues mostly older stuff like vintage BB King. I do like some Hard Rock...I've been listening to Primus lately, I find Les Claypool's bass playing just amazing. Also I am fan of classic rock (Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, etc.)

It just must have a great "hook" [rhythm and melody]. Most classical music has it. Few rap songs have it. Definitely some anime music. :D Great gospel music. Jazz is okay. Do like tekno.

Did like one of Nirvana's songs. Depeche Mode has some good hooks. Michael Jackson's music: legendary. :D

Not too into R&B, unless it's from the legends in the business. Video game music is interesting. [though on endless loop....]

Country music doesn't draw me though. Maybe it's the overexaggerated cowboy drawl/whine that turns me off. Though the Ballads are decent.

Rock music in general...depends.

My music style is known to most as 'progressive' metal. I like some not so heavy prog rock, too.

As for other styles, I can enjoy just about anything from new-age to hip hop and anything in between.

Most things on MTV that I've heard, I don't like.
