Tiny Toon Adventures
Animaniacs
Pinky and the Brain (with/without Elmyra, state your likeness)
Freakzoid!
Histeria!
(I KNOW I probably forgot some-but hey, we can at least add to the list...)
...
With H! finally off the air, WB's Silver Age era has ended. Above are some of the most well known of these S. Age shows, each special in its own way. State the pick, and why you chose it. You'll note there are no DC animated shows; I feel these are in thier own league, as the above shows were apparently closest to coming to WB's Golden Age of cartoons in the 1940s-1950s. I dunno also if shows like Jackie Chan Adventures, MIB, and Generation O! should be in this list for the reason stated above...any comments on why they SHOULD be there are welcome, and I'll most likely add 'em to the list...but be polite in saying why...
I choose H! because it combined two of my fav things-History and WB cartoons. I also chose it because of the fact that had I not looked up H! on the web, I would not feel compelled to post in a message board....including this one. I owe a lot to the show.

My favorite "Silver Age" show would either be Animaniacs or Pinky and the Brain (SANS Elmyra). Both were well written, well animated, and there was something for everybody (although some episodes of Pinky and the Brain make me think WB was actually aiming for an older audience - does anyone under 13 drink Fresca, or even know what it is? )
Freakazoid also gets an honorable mention from me. :D

Egad, it's hard for me to say that P&TB as a separate series is my one favorite when the mice originated on Animaiacs which is also a fav.
So, what do I do? Poit.
Well, like Singin' Stray Cat said, both those shows are well written and animated, but also had backgounds and musical scores that reminded me of the Golden age LT/MM cartoons.

Fresca is a carbonated grape fruit soft drink. Grape fruit juice makes it look cloudy.

Freakazoid is #1 for me!
Wish it had the number of episodes that the other series had.

'Pinky and the Brain', of course.
Because I liked the writing & the interaction between the mice, and because Brain is *so* cute.

Mine are TTA & P&tB... those are the two Silver Age toons I watched religiously. A!, H!, F! and PEatB I didn't care for at all...

Chronologically speaking, Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, and Histeria. I hate to choose which is #1, though.
Fresca never sold well in Spanish-speaking countries, I've heard, because it's slang for "lesbian". That may be an urban legend on the same level with the Chevy Nova...then again, I've heard some say the taste was terrible, so that may explain the lackluster sales.
Truth be told, my niece resembles Brain quite a bit--chubby cheeks, large forehead, tiny nose--esp. while sleeping...but I'm not sure if he'd take that as flattering. I imagine he prefers to thought of as "ruggedly handsome, in a David-Duchovny-meets-Joe-Montana manner".... :p

It's pretty hard to choose...all of those shows have very good animation, funny jokes, cool music, funny jokes...I've never laughed as hard as I have watching A!, PatB, F!, & TTA. Not even when the knife-thrower circumsized a wall poster on the Johnny Carson show. I've actually never seen Histeria (yet I know all about it. Strange.). Whenever I try and watch it, I see some stupid infomercial in its place.
I tried Fresca once & never ate grapefruit again. 'Nuff said.

P&tB. With F! as a close second.
Now, way back when when you could watch the two back to back...that was television at its finest!

Oh, my goodness. Add Road Rovers & you have all of my favorites. Picking one is like asking a parent who his / her favorite child is. I can't decide!

An hour of Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid made my world complete. Ah, I miss them...

Don't they show them at the same time now? I saw them like that a week ago. They're so mean!

Histeria! Maybe Nick needs a history show that goes up against Time Squad, or put H! on CN so that Histeria! and Time Squad will be on weekday mornings back-to-back.:)

And Bullwinkle for the Peabody factor. That'd make it a true time-travelling triple threat. Otoh CN might not do that as people have enough trouble telling Sherman from Otto as it is.
