Sorry about all these polls, but my friend D.W would'nt quit bothering me till I put this up.What's funny is that he did not want me to put Hawkman.

I think she is already married to Hawkman. Just look at her ear rings.

I said it on the Diana thread, and I'll say it again: Why do all the female superheroes have to be romantically involved with somebody all the time?! The male heroes can have their independence, why can't the women?! Are men really so threatened by the idea of a strong, attractive female who is just as much a hero as any man and isn't looking for a boyfriend? I'm not saying that people who have similar ideals and who go through hell and back together on a regular basis can't start to form strong bonds with each other, even romantic ones...it's not only possible, it's likely. But it doesn't necessarily have to resort to romance. What's wrong with friendship? What's wrong with mutual respect and trust? What's wrong with being partners in a professional rather than a sexual sense? I.e, why can't Diana and Hawkgirl and the rest of the League just be friends?

And on a side note, why is it specifically the women whose romantic futures we're speculating? Why isn't anyone asking "Which person should Superman/Flash/Green Lantern/J'onn be with?" (I didn't mention Batman because that question has already been asked more times than I can count) And why are we confining the lists of possibles to the League itself? Hasn't it been said that relationships in the workplace never work out?

I'd also like to point out that it's pretty early on to be discussing who in the Justice League should fall in love with whom. The League just formed, for God's sake. Many of the heroes have only just met each other. Hell, Diana's still trying to figure the world out...how is she supposed to cope with a romantic relationship when until fairly recently she'd never even seen a man? We all know that adversity breeds strong ties within a group...in the comics, Batman and Superman reached a point when they were brothers in all but blood, but that took time...a lot of it. Let's give the Justice Leaguers some time to get to know each other before we decide who should date whom.

Sorry about the rant, folks, I just had to get that off my chest. I guess you can deduce from my above...uh, comment ...that I don't think Hawkgirl, or Diana for that matter, should "be with" anybody right now.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled poll. :D

M'Ral, I'm just as much against "pairing off" as you are. I'm not against a little sexual tension though. They can and should all remain independant, regardless of what other feelings might develop. And btw, if there were to be pair-offs (and again, I am NOT saying there should be) the reason the women always have to be paired off is simple: there are only two of them! Hope I'm not too far OT.

Why they are pairing GL with Hawkgirl on the show, I won't get. Hawkgirl should just continue to one-dimensionally swing her mace and beat up anyone she sees. She is still my favorite character, but she'll need a lot more character than what she has right now to NOT need a romantic interest.

Later.

If you have already seen "Legends", The Savage Time" and "Metamorphosis" should know that there is a spark growing between these two characters. I hope that Season 2 explores more the attraction between the GL and Hawkgirl. :)

I don't think it will be a romantic relationship. But I do think they have a good chemistry. They both have that military mind set that the others don't have. Tome they will make good friends and comrads but not romantic interest.
