Could anyone tell me if there has been any word or plan on them releaseing another Batman : Gotham Adventues trade paperback? I was wondering because I am trying to collect the series up and the early issues are extremely hard to find.

There is indeed another one in the works. It was reported not that long ago. I can't remember what issues where in it but I bet a forum search would tell you.

The next Batman Adventures TPB will be a BIG collection of Paul Dini's comic book work-- every one a gem! This includes: all of MAD LOVE, along with stories from specials, annuals, and a Poison Ivy story from ADVENTURES IN THE DCU.

To the best of my knowledge, NONE of these stories are from BATMAN: GOTHAM ADVENTURES. So, if you're trying to build up a collection of the early BGAs, you're going to have to hunt them down at various comic store back issue bins, comic convention dealer rooms, and the internet.

Sad to hear that, but oh well. Thanks for the info Dan and RB. Hopefully DC will decide to spit out some more B:GA in the near future.

But I will have to pick up the Paul Dini TPB, thanks for reminding Dan!

I really think that DC should release the rest of the initial Templeton/Burchett issues, and then make one more compilation with the "Best of Gotham Adventures". Since the B:GA collected edition featured seven issues, I think there would easily be enough good material to warrant another collected volume. Then again, DC never finished collecting the original Batman Adventures, which were all pretty much gold.

With Gotham Adventures drawing to a close, here is a quick look back at all the post-Templeton issues that managed to pleasantly surprise me enough to think them worthy of a re-print in a collected volume:

#24 (The Team is captured)
#29 (Six Hours to Live)
#30 (Clayface helps a boy)
#31 (Chaos at the Hands of the Joker)
#33 (A World Without a Batman)
#34 (Maxie Zeus rebuilds Rome)
#35 (Batman and Robin seek justice)
#50 (Batman and Catwoman)
#51 (Freeze and Nora Reunite)
#53 (Ivy's plant goes wild)
#58 (Creeper and Ventriloquist)

Hopefully, the final two issues of the series will pleasantly surprise us all. Looking back, I'm relieved to find that there were a few decent Peterson/Levins issues worth remembering (six, to be exact), but the overall quality of the series fluctuated mainly thanks to the intervention of guest writers and pencillers. It's been a disappointing run with a slew of pleasant surprises, but thankfully sunny skies are ahead!
