Ever dated somone taller( for guys) or shorter(for girls) than you ?

As some of you know I have secured my prom date and it wasn't until after I asked her and got my answer that I thought about the fact that she's taller than me. To make it worse at prom she'll most likely be wearing heels. :p

I'm going to have a good time that night but no matter what the superficial side of me is going to bugging about how much taller she is than me. It's actually not much maybe only a inch or two but it's not that often that you see something like that.

So I'm asking have any of the guys ever dated or been out with a girl taller than them and girl's have you ever dated or been with a guy shorter than you ?

Was it ever weird ? Did anyone ever comment or stare like this :eek:

Im 6'3", so its hard to find women my height anyway :p. I have dated a woman who was the same height, though.

As far as the idea, Ive never been bothered by the idea. Hell, I dont have a problem with women who will take out a guy to protect him!

I figure that she can handle the light work from time to time (you know, when a guy gets drunk at a bar and wants to start something...) :D

In my life I've only KNOWN 3 girls my height or taller (6'3") and never dated any of them. I always wondered what that would be like though. Heck, even a girl close would be a bit different (closest thus far has been about 5'9").

And to answer the question, no, my one and only girlfreind is about 8" shorter then me.

I am 5'7", and my current girlfriend is an even 5'. Still the strangest matchup size is my grandparents: my late granddad was 5'6", and my grandmother is 4'8".

I've met only one girl that I have gone out with that was as tall as me (6'2). I like the shorter girls anyways.

Nope. I'm 5ft 11 - so it's not often it's come up as an issue. In fact, there is only one friend I can ever recall being taller than me.


Although I think - if I was to honest - I prefer girls to be shorter - not from any predjudice - but I prefer hugging and cuddling some one smaller. :)

Just call me old fashioned! That said, if I liked the girl - it wouldn't make a blind bit of difference. It's just as a casual, superficial point. :)

Nope, never dated someone shorter than me. Of course, I'm practically 5 feet nothing, so it'd be incredibly hard to find a guy shorter than me. :P

Of course I already know it, I just wanted to see if anyone else ever dated or went out with some one that was not you know what's normally seen.

You usually see a taller guy or a couple that's of equal hight.

Yes, I know the problem brought up here. I have never went out with a guy that was taller or even remotely the same height as me. You see, I am 6 feet tall and grew up in a small town, so there were no guys taller than me, even as far back as grade school... which was a bummer. I'm don't have a problem with going out with someone who is shorter than me, I would just like to go out once with a guy who is at least as tall if not taller than me, just once! I think the tallest guy I even went out with was 5 feet 9 inches.
I just recently moved to a bigger town, so I am looking, but no takers yet. I am beginning to wonder if guys are intimidated by my height.
But I don't see a problem with it, my mom (5'11) is slightly taller than my dad (5'10). I just would like to go against the grain just once...

It seems that all the women in school this year are short. There's only one girl I know of who is as tall as me.

I've never really understood the whole height hang-up thing. Personally, I think tall women are pretty hot. Unfortunately, I'm 5'10" and I've only been able to date one girl taller (6'1" or so :D) than me. Do any of you guys dig tall women and do any of you girls like short men?

I never dated before, but isn't stupid to date a person based on their body height. Body height, unlike weight can't be controlled.
For the record I don't judge by looks.

I'm 7'2" and my wife is 9'6", but it never bothered me. The only thing that bothers me is that my dog is 3" and sleeps in a matchbox. It makes it hard to play fetch. :(

I have had this one kinda cute asian chick pester me all year about if I was single or not. Today she flat out asked me if I would be willing to date an asian chick (an odd way to get me to do something...but I got the message ;)) ack she's always pinching my cheeks and stuff tho...she was petting my head the other day while I was tyring to sleep lol...and she's like an inch taller than me. I'm about 5'8 and I'd say she's about 5'9.....but I guess I'd date her....but I don't feel like it right now, and she's still not really my type I don't think and I mean that personality wise not like physically (well cept for being a little bit taller). But I'll give it some thought....but she'll have to give me some time...I need some alone time for a while.
