My Fave:

1)Rebirth 1 + 2 (I count as one episode..cuz originally, it aired at night..as one episode)
2)Eyewitness
3)Out of the Past
4)Eggbaby
5)The Call: Part 1

Part 2 sucked..hehe. I didn't like the alien thing...I thought it of being sorta lame.

in random order....

rebirth 1 & 2
shriek
acsension
hooked up
dead man's hand

wow, only 5. well id definately count "meltdown" and "out of the past" among the best eps, but when it really boils down to just 5 i have to be biast and not choose episodes that used old villians cause thats more like a btas ep imo. i am most impressed when bb has a great ep using its villians, and the 5 i picked, i think reflect that. peace.

Hmm, this is pretty tough...I haven't actually seen all of the episodes, but I'll tell my favorites of the ones I've seen. Here they are:

Babel
Shriek
Rebirth 1 & 2
Countdown
Zeta

Yeah, I know, you guys are probably booing and hissing at my last two choices, but I kinda like Zeta (GASP!!). Anyways, I remember the first time I saw Babel. Afterwards I thought to myself "Wow, that was really great", so Babel is definitely my favorite...

Actually, "Countdown" probably comes in no. 6 on my list (missed it by THAT much!), and I have a lot of respect for "Zeta"; it's a hard story to pull off, and the fact that it fails says a lot more about the nobility of the attempt than anything else.

Anyway, I'm one to talk, with "Heroes" on my list. :p

1. Babel
2. Meltdown
3. Out of the Past
4. Ascension
5. Rebirth 1 & 2

In general, I think I liked the episodes that had more psychological tension and thinking than the ones that were more straight up "shoot em type" episodes. One exception made for Mind Games, it doesnt make my top 5, but the action there was great!

My favorite five in no particular order:
1. Rebirth 1&2(perfect way to start)
2.The Call 1&2(Awesome episode)
3.Disapearing inque(Bruce in the Batsuit and the cool techno beat sent chills down my spine)
4.Out of the past(Good loose ends episode)
5.Meltdown(a fitting end to the tragic Mr Freeze)

1. Rebirth 1 and 2
2. Black Out
3. Shriek
4. Meltdown
5. Ascension

I wanted to put Out of the Past as well. However I think these five episodes put together a great stand alone story. Not that I want a theme DVD but this could work. It introduces Bruce, Terry, and our villain Blight. Black Out, Shriek, and Meltdown all have their own villains but Blight is still there calling the shots in each episode. And Ascension wraps it all up with what I thought for a long time was the death of Blight.

Something I caught worth noting: Awesome quotes Blight. They're great!

My top five? Well okedokey:

1 Babel
2 Ascention
3 Rebirth 1&2
4 Meltdown
5 Hidden Agenda

I can explain the Hidden Agenda thing!! But first let me say that was the hardest thing I've ever had to do because I left out so much!!! ;) I put in Hidden Agenda because in some ways I treat a list like this as an introduction to the show, and I want people to see Max for the nice supporting character that she was before she was ruined. :)

Up to 30...hmmm...:)

Well - I'm sure we can keep the momentum going until then. I think keeping this thread going will be a great send off to the final episode, and a nice lead up to the countless reviews that will no doubt flood this board moments after the episodes airs on Friday.

Thanks for expanding this to 10. Choosing five was just too, too hard

In no particular order:

1. Out of the Past
2. Spellbound
3. Rebirth 1 & 2 (two-parters should be counted as one ep because neither ep would make sense without the other)
4. Curse of the Kobra 1&2
5. Terry's Friend Dates a Robot
6. Hooked Up
7. Final Cut
8. Mind Games
9. Babel
10. Eyewitness

and No. 11 would be Shriek

Basically, anything with Spellbinder and/or Max involved worked for me. And in Hooked Up, I got both!

Ah, I love this show. Hope all's well for everyone,

Well, the final week ended on a rathar low note with HOOKED UP. Ah well...the possibility of KWB getting UNMASKED is still a nice thought.

1. Lost Soul (This has to be loved. It was the episode where Terry found out that he made Batman, not the suit. This shows why there can only be one true Batman that relies on something else other than powers. I thought this was one of the things that made Terry become more like Bruce, going by himself without insurance and using qualities such as judgment and patience. I don't know how people overlooked this)
2. Rebirth 1+2 (This is where Bruce retires and the new Knight comes in. It's somewhat emotional and has the story of origin)
3. Mind Games (Hey, it was cool how Terry was able to predict moves using his senses other than sight and going against villains with psychic powers)
4. Revenant (Even though Batman gets his body beaten up and down the block, it had such a great villain, even though Batman lucked out)
5. Babel (Quite a cool invention based on sound. This idea was based on the Bible, which I thought was cool. Another quality that shows why Batman is Batman: he's willing to sacrifice himself)
6. Out of the Past (Hey, if Batman comes back, it's good. It shows how Batman wouldn't accept gifts he didn't earn. Such a sad ending for Bruce. hehehe, the play was based on the Adam West shows)
7. Meltdown (tragic ending to a classic villain, probably the only villain in original Batman without insanity)
8. The Call 1+2 (It's Superman and other Justice League Heroes, How can you not go crazy?)
9. Heroes (raises the question of what makes a hero, powers or something more, even though it ripped off Marvel)
10. April Moon (It had one of the biggest plot twists I have ever seen, plus it showed Batman's easiest wins. This is one of the episodes that show why people go insane)

I know the first eight were extremely good, as in the best of the best. Last two are slightly subpar to the others.

Of course, I would put ROTJ up there, but I demand an unedited version, plus it's not an episode.

Certainly Unmasked will be on my favorites list simply because the title makes you imagine what's to come. It's the end of an era, so I know it's going to be good. However, if I'm wrong, I'll be too disappointed to care about a list. I highly doubt that though.

So, it's officially off the WB forever now? Will the rest of the episodes be released on home video? If they air Batman Beyond of the cartoon network, Are they going to remove the opening?

The show is officially off KWB as of last week, but there's an ultra-slim chance BB will breifly return to KWB to air UNMASKED but that looks incredibly unlikely. As for the epiisode release to video - that's all in the air right now. And as for the intro - it's going to stay as is becuase the intro blends into the beginning of the show.
