hmmmm. any one seen the advertisements for this show? at first i thought it was for card captors. in fact, it looks like almost the same thing as card captors...i think the writers at kids wb are running out of ideas so the just took the same idea from one of their other bad shows so they could make a new one. it seems like kids wb keeps getting worse and worse and now i wont have to watch it anymore since batman beyond is on cn. so kids wb is on my black list now since it has no good shows and they just keep seem to be making the same bad ones over and over. blah blah balh. rant rant rant.

It's not running out of ideas...it's the inability to take risks. There are plenty of other shows to choose from if they want to bring over another kiddie anime, but they always bring over similar ones because they sell.

I hear 4kids has One Piece, by the way ("What's that?" asked everyone). That's different. I've always wanted to see an anime show about would-be pirates.

I would be nice to see an anime they bring over to the network that doesn't have anyting to do with training monsters or catching them. Yu-Gi-Oh! is already pretty stupid, I'd hate to see how much worst KWB will make it.

Well, I'm known to be less than enthusiastic over standard anime, and this show looks like more of the same old, same old.

As for programming, I think networks are going retrograde and aiming for a very young audience. This is why we have Jade Chan in the main role instead of Jackie, why we have a child facing off against The Mummy instead of his parents (as it should be). I don't mind some programs aimed at the younger viewers, but I think it wrong to turn around and ignore the growing number of older viewers that shows such as Batman have built. Unfortunately, that's just how it works in tv land.
