Exactly two weeks after the break-in, the thief that robbed our house has been caught. As I mentioned in two previous threads, our house was broken into on 08/23/01. He made off with my cd-player and my new Looney Tunes cd set.
My brother-in-law is a cop and was filling in for the normal officer in my district on Thursday. He got a call about a man getting $20 of gas from a local station and driving off without paying. The cashier followed the man, and then called the police. My brother-in-law responded to the call, and matched the description of the man and his vehicle, with the man that robbed our house. He arrested the man for the gas station incident, but got a warrant to search his house. He found my cd player and speakers, plus other stolen items such as vcr's, tv's and cameras. Unfortunately, only one of my Looney Tunes cd's was found. But at least justice prevails. Just thought everyone might like a little good news!:D

(As Daffy said in " You Ought to be in Pictures") That's swell, that's swell, that's swell. Good thing your brother in law is a cop. You can't escape justice!!

Whoa! That's great to hear! And I do offer my consolences. Here's hoping that guy gets what he deserves, and I am happy that you at least got some of your stuff back!

My faith in the police has been restored thanks to this tale...

Wow! That is great news! It's pretty cool that your brother-in-law caught the jerk. What a moron. Even if you're enough of a jerk to do that stuff in the first place, you have to realize that if you do stuff like that enough, you're gonna get caught. And he obviously did that stuff a lot, since it sounds like he had a whole mess of audio/video equipment. Too bad you still lost one CD, but maybe you'll be compensated now that they caught him.

If I were you, I'd go to the station and make funny faces at him through the bars all day.:p

That IS great news!

Any suggestions for a suitable punishment for this jerk? How about forcing him to sit through an ED, EDD, AND EDDY marathon! Or would that be considered cruel and unusual punishment?

No, no, here's a good punishment... have him be forced to spend a day (ALL DAY) with Arlene Klasky, Ted Turner, and Herb Scannell and let's see what the end results are.

I'd love to be able to see suitable punishment delt out by BUGS BUNNY!

About getting back yer stuff:
HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY....

About making faces through the jail-bars at the louse:
I think obscene gestures would be better!
Something in a middle-finger "Beewwwwoop!" :D

sorry 'bout the unretrieved bit, though.
