I'm having trouble comprehending why there's a thread for the Hulk, but not The Matrix yet. So if it does exist and I'm just not seeing it, feel free to combine or lock this.
Anyway.....
I love a movie that can live up to hype and anticipation. That freeze frame spin around with Neo swiping that pole, sending all the Smiths flying was spectacular.
As for the Novemeber release of Revolution.... I'm surprised. I thought it'd be released sooner actually.
I can't wait to see these movies like... a billion times. :D

Um, I hardly found the pole spin spectacular. In fact, my jaw dropped at how fake and CG-looking the whole shot was. Luckily, the rest looked good.

Whew, was that amazing or what? I just saw it on the Super Bowl and words cannot describe how amazingly cool they looked. An article in Newsweek cited the directors as wanting to create visuals that couldn't be mimicked and i'd say they were successful. Only four more months...
Argh! Why MAY?! Can't they go faster? That commercial was awesome! I cannot wait for these movies!

Both look very cool, and I'm anxious for them. Still, seeing the previews got me thinking. I know Matrix has this massive following and all...but two sequels....in less then a year of each other? Seems a bit rushed. Sure I want to see more, but not if they're going to do a lousy rush job just trying to make money on it's success.

I watched the trailer and my mouth went agape throughout the duration of the trailer. I was literally saying HOLY ****!!! every second.

Well, Babs, I don't think it's rushed. I belive they delyaed it from an ealier date. I was peeved becasue I was dying to see it, but as long as they take their time and do thigns right...
Anyway, the trailer freaking ruled!! Very nice. I was freaking out wathcing it. At first I commented that he was like Superman int hat ending scene. Then my roomate, a DBZ fan, said it was more a DBZ thing and I think he's right. One, the arm position and two, the trail of destrution. Very nice. As for the copy n paste file Agent Smith fight, I don't think it looked bad. PLus Morpheus (with katana!) and Trinity are looking good too. I heard them compare Morpheus and Neo to Bamtan and Superman, so that should be cool. Sure, it may not be the most orignal, borrowing alot from anime and comics and HK aciton films, but they way they present it is well done and makes a wodnerful film.
You can catch the trailer again over at www.whatisthematrix.com and ou can copy iot form your temp files folder and keep it on your hd!

~Barb Not really. They were shot together a la LOTR. The second movie ends with a cliffhanger, so I wouldn't want to have to wait a year or longer for the third...

EXCELLENT. The matrix is back, and it DEFINETLY looks better. Even when i watch the Matrix now, the CGI effects look ahead of its time...so just IMAGINE what this will look like

Just to add to what the other poster said about quick turnround on sequels. Back to the future 2 and 3 were also released 6 months apart, and were filmed at the same time.

ditto.
although i realize that the thing with the matrix is the special effects, it would've been nice to get a little more into the actual movie.

It looked ok, nothing spectacular. I hope the movies are better than the trailer, or I'll be disappointed.

Believe it or not but most movies are better then their trailers :p
I think the movie(s) look great but the CGI could be improved a little. Barb Gordon just cause they are coming out in the same year doesnt mean the second is rushed, they were just filmed one right after another just as was done with ALL THREE Lord of the Rings movies were and you don't see anyone complaining about them :D

Is there a place to get the Super Bowl promo in cheap easy to view Windows Media Player versus Quicktime?

My jaw dropped on the scene were Agent Smith jumped from one car to the next destroying the front part. The fight scene between Neo and the Agent Smith's is what I'm looking forward to.
It looks pretty good, I hope it's better than the first.

I am really looking forward to this movie, much more than Hulk or T3. This looks like the mindblowing stuff that made the first movie so frickin cool. :D
And the CGI looks pretty good, I think. It looks way better than Hulk trailer CGI.
