I sent a letter to Roy Disney about the horrible censoring of Fantasia about 1.5 months ago...but I have yet to see a reply.

Obviously I'm being ignored, but LOTS of letters can make a difference!

What is needed is for ANYONE who is reading this post is to write a letter to Disney (The address is on the Melody Time/Make Mine Music censorship petition page) and plead for an uncensored version!

One letter and 50+ signatures may be ignored, but dozens of letters can't.

We have to show Disney what we think of their butchering of classics NOW or we'll just get more censored DVD's that are overpriced. We DO NOT need the censored version of Dumbo released to DVD...we need the original intended cut no matter how pollitically incorrect it is...no matter how insulting it is...this is art and it just can't be covered up with a fig leaf!

What was censored in Dumbo? I love that movie and would like to know what I'm missing.

The part with the african/ americans setting up the circus tent. This scene was usually edited on TV broadcasts. I used to think itwas edited for time reasons...

You mean the scene where it's storming and the foreman/leader(?) calls them hairy apes?

I'm glad they haven't edited Jim the Crow, or have I spoken too soon?
