80' cartoons have some of the corniest intro's man...

I was just watching the bravestar one, and it was just to cheesy. I was like.

"Eyes of the hawk, ears of the puma?"

and then the Oarbots one, that starts off really awesome and then you hear.

"Oh no." from this little robot and it gets all silly. :confused:

Robotech had a very good opening, better than even 90% of the Sat AM shows on right now.

Some of the Transformers seasons sounded pretty okay.

Incredible Hulk had a very effective opening.

Voltron still holds up, surprisingly. Well, if you take out some of the narration.

Where did you find Orbots? I remember loving it on the sole season it came out, and I was hoping to check it out and see if it holds up. Probably not, but I'm curious...

What is Orbots? Is it Mighty Orbots, the show that was put along with Turbo Teen on NBC (or CBS) in the 80s?

All I remember is that Orbots seemed to have more attractive visuals than the rest of the block, and that Teen Turbo was about a kid who turned into a car when splashed with water (?).

If your thinking He-Man had a corny intro, don't say it. :) He-Man had one of the most memorable openings to any of the 80's cartoons. Thundercats too was very effective and very cool!

I agree that Rankin Bass had some awesome opeingings to their shows. Thundercat's included.

As for your high opinion of the He-Man opeing, to each his own.

I think they had such corny intros because they were mostly intros for toy commercials! And I HATED the He Man intro!!! :eek: Sorry, but I had to say it! No offense to the fans of the show intended!

Bravestarr was one I really hated but I still watched it every week. Other stand outs in my memory...Dugenons and Dragons, Spiderman and his Amazing Friends, Bakshi's Mighty Mouse....can't think of others right now.

The 80s X-Men pilot had some nice animation, but a really cruddy opening song.
