Which of the two have had better cartoons based on their comics? DC definantly. X-Men-Evolution is good though, but all of DC's toons have been great. None of Marvlel's have really been that good, and even if you think they have, DC's are so much better. Stories, characters, animation, dialoge, voice acting, etc, etc.

Well, seeing as Batman: The Animated Series is the greatest crossover from any media to another in the history of mankind, I would have to side with DC.

DC all the way. Marvel has had some good shows through the years, but the Batman series alone blows away most of them.

DC. But if you take out Batman, I might have to go with Marvel. (I LOVED Spider-Man:TAS)

That's no fair cause everybody is going to pick DC cause of Batman...

Dang you Bat

Anyway I'm going have to say DC but Marvel is way better in comics and movies.

Gotta disagree with you. Any of the DC shows could stand against the entire Marvel Toon universe.

I agree. DC's cartoons (under the guidence of Burnette, Dini, and Timm) have all been wonderful. Marvel's carttons tend to be hit, or miss in my opinion.

Definately DC. Even if you took out Batman I still consider Superman to be one of the best.

But I don't take out Bats and that's why I voted DC. :D Seriously though, that show did almost everything right and brought in characters from the comics many fans had never seen before. BTAS was actually the first time Two-Face was portrayed in television and film.

DC - without a doubt. While Marvel did have some good shows, DC just tended to have better writing, some spectacular animation, and amazing character designs. The animated DC shows truly revolutionized their charatcers and brought out the best every single charatcer.

I'm definitely a Marvel true-believer, but even I will admit that DC toons are the best. The animation was beautiful, the stoylines were classic yet original, and DC's best episodes TOWER above Marvel's best.

But fear not Marvel fans, while DC rules the small screen, Marvel now rules the silver screen! :)

It took me a while to get into DC. I've watched Superman and Batman in 2000 and 2001 on Toonami sometimes. But rarely. I didn't really get into them till last summer. I started watching Justice League and started to like it, So I gave Superman and Batman another try, and after a couple watchings of the Rising Sun and I got hooked. Then I got into Batman Beyond later. Never got a chance to watch Spiderman: TAS. Though i've played a Spiderman game or two. And I plan on seeing Spiderman the movie when I get the chance.

In one more year we will see if those words are really true.

DC, it is almost not a contest. The last 11 years of Anime Series' from DC can prove that.

GO DC! SPANK THAT GORILLA!

DC is better, definitely. BTAS is the best film version of ANY comic book character, live-action or animated, to date. And even if you go beyond that, you run into SUPERMAN, then BATMAN BEYOND, then JLA, and let's not forget those horribly cheesy Filmation series' (like SUPERFRIENDS) throug the 70's?

MARVEL does have a few good entries...like Spider-Man and the X-Men, but beyond that, they don't really have much of anything noteworthy, IMHO.

I will have to say sort of a tie because Dc has great animation, storylines charatcers etc..
but Marvel had great shows too Spider-man the way they streched the stroyline over 65 episodes and X-men evo is great too and the second season of iron man had great storylines.

Wasn't there supposed to be a Spider-Man animated series that was going to air on MTV?

With most of the DC toons being produced by the same guys its tough to deny that DC is better then Marvel. But I definately think the animation of Spider-Man TAS (90s) is better then Batman (and Supes, BB, JL...). And was I pissed when they got shafted and production of new eps ceased.

Hmmm.....

Batman, Superman, JL vs. Spiderman, Hulk, Iron Man, X-Men.

Tough choice. Even though I'm a bigger fan of the Marvel Universe, I'll have to pick DC for making the better Action/Dramatic cartoons. Unless its the old school cartoons before the 90's then Marvel takes the cake. The DC cartoons back then were the same 6 pictures over and over again if you don't count the Paramount version of Superman.

I would say DC because the writing for their animated series is superior to Marvel's series. (Like the Two Face Part 1 & 2 episode)

DC killed Marvel in the animation department. While Spider-Man TAS was Marvel's best effort, it still ranks well behind BTAS, TNBA, STAS, JL, & BB.

Marvel is winning the theater battle only because the WB has been dormant. But I seem to recall DC owning the silver screen as well: 4 Superman films & 4 Batman films. Don't make me point out those horrible Spider-Man, Punisher, Captain America, Fantastic Four movies!!! :p

DC has had stronger representation on live-television as well. Linda Carter's Wonder Woman, CBS's Flash, the old Steve Reeves Superman, & the classic Adam West Batman. Even today's Smallville and the short-lived Birds of Prey. I can only hope for a Bruce Wayne series, chronicling his travels and studies throughout the world.

DC franchises have always had big backing from Warner Bros or CBS. Marvel didn't have that kind of support...until now...with SONY, FOX, etc...

Marvel is finally realizing its full potential in these other avenues, making some pretty good films and finally producing watchable animated series. X-Men: Evolution is cool. Looking forward to MTV's Spider-Man.

It looks like the superhero/comic book genre is gaining some steam again. Maybe with the success of all these pics, we'll get more superhero shows...and finally KILL Pokemon and Yu-Go-Oh and the like.

It kinda bugs me that all these little kids are playing card games and saying "Pika Pika". It's time to get the youth of America hooked on superheroes again!!! When Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Scooby-Doo, and Jimmy Neutron are more popular than Batman, Superman, or Spider-Man we've got ourselves a crisis. :-)

Truer words were never spoken, pally! Although, I'll take Spongebob over Pokemon, Jimmy Neutron and Yu-Gi-Oh any day!
