Well, I still wish that Justice League would fall into the continutiy and timeline of the other four TV shows. Then it would be one giant, awesome storyline! (Kind of like the Dragonball Z and Gundam Wing cartoons -- they have many incarnations, but you can watch each incarnation one right after the other and get the whole story.) That was my dream, anyway. Something like this:
Batman: The Animated Series --> The Batman/Superman Adventures --> Justice League --> Batman Beyond --> Zeta
In fact, I originally thought it would be cool if WB re-aired its Batman/Superman Adventures as part of the Justice League series ("World's Finest", "Knight Time", "The Demon Reborn", and "Girls' Night Out" were on the fast-track to being Justice League anyway).
Oh well, one can dream, can't he? (Sigh.)

I wholeheartedly agree. I think that it should fall into continuity with the other shows. We have already seen cross-overs and guest stars galore.
Replacing Kyle is OK...for now. John could be watching Earth while Kyle is off getting trained by the Guardians. The official word we've heard is that John stewart has been in space for a while. Maybe they called him back just temporarily.
I still want to see the JSA crossover. I just want to see an animated HawkMAN. But...maybe I'm just a little prejudiced.

JL is following the continuity of the four other shows for the most part. The biggest thing they are ignoring is Green Lantern. However Aquaman will surface in Season 1 with the long hair and hook but they will also explain why he isn't the same Silver Age style one we saw in STAS. Luthor will return and they will also explain why he has the suit on. And there WILL be a JSA crossover in JL in season 1. Bruce Timm said so at San Diego Comic Con.

I agree with CarterHall. We could make Kyle Rainer a new recruit in training, and the J.L. Green Lantern would be the one for the group. That way it stays consistent.
And I'd like to see Hawkman too. He could make a guest appearance, and just one way or another say why he's not in the J.L. but Hawkgirl is.
I'd also like to see Nightwing, Robin, and Batgirl make at least one guest appearance, even if it's just a quick cameo in a Batman two-parter.
It would also be cool if they made some J.L. episodes that didn't necessarily have the whole J.L. on a mission all at once; a few "team-up" or "trio" episodes would be cool too. I also love the "fish out of water" episodes, i.e. Batman in Metropolis, etc.
And wouldn't it be cool if we saw the U.N. (and individual countries like the U.S.) open diplomatic negotiations with Atlantis? That (and the problems rivals like the U.S. and China vying for Atlantis's attention would cause) could add a whole extra dimension to the J.L. story.
What do you guys think?

Besides, if the Cartoon Network could air Batman/Superman as Justice League "episodes", it would give Batman/Superman a whole new life, and give Justice League an 80 episodes "head start", on top of the 26 episodes being planned. That would rock!
(That's also the same strategy that the original "Superfriends" show used in the 1970's-1980's. And remember, that show aired for 13 years before it became permanant reruns as a result!)

Squall go the the Justice League page connected to this site!! It will explain nearly everything. It seems as if you have lots of ideas and questions that will be answered if you read the info there. They have nearly the entire San Diego Comic Con Bruce Timm explanation to JL there.
Hawkman: I'm almost certain that Timm said we would have Hawkman in Season 1. Hawkgirl obviously is from a family, and I think we get to see a little bit of that.
Batman: No mention of Babs, Dick, and Tim but we can always hope!
Many episodes will only focus are only contain some of the characters. Bruce Timm realizes that is difficult to develop seven characters at once. There will be a Green Lantern and Flash story for example. One episodes entitled to Warworld will deal with Superman's capture and focus primarily on him. So we will see some team up episodes that don't have the whole JL team. This isn't superfriends where the heros are interchangable.
And if this is the Atlantis I think it is, I don't think they want to have anything to do with the land world regardless of what the US or UN has to offer. But hey it could be interesting.
