Because apples taste better ? :p
Personally, I prefer fuji/gala, though I've been eating red's all of my life up until recently when I realized they were icky.

I've always enjoyed the Granny Smith crunchy apples. Always been into green apples myself. In fact, they are the only apple I'll swear by. *crunch*

I'm not much for apples (scratch that: apples aren't much to me. Darn grammar!!!), but I'd say my favorite kinds are Gala and Golden Delicious.
Ehhhh, I'm with prozzak. Go oranges! :D

"Go oranges"
To tell you the truth, that is the least favorite of my fruits, too much critic acid in it, makes my stomach a bit upset.

Oh man, nothing like a fresh macintosh right off the tree. I've gone apple-picking at an orchard a couple of times, and last time I think I ate about 5 apples in less than half an hour. heh heh :o
What's really fun about orchards is that if you find rotten apples on the ground, and you will, they make good objects for target practice, tree trunks bieng the targets :D (I wouldn't recommend doing this too much, they might use the bruised ones from the ground for something :p. Erm, don't need to tell the owners I do this, either). Also, apple trees are the only trees I know of which ya can stand on top of (http://personal.nbnet.nb.ca/jamar/images/C_Mag_AppleTree.jpg) . :D

Fuji preferably because I like their crisp crunch and their flavor is similar to the Red Delicious. I was raised on Red Delicious, but I like how the Fuji stays crunchier longer.

Granny Smith, or the kind you get off a tree!(but I wouldn't recommend *that* kind...) But ever scince I accidentally ate my Guinea Pig's apple, I've been pretty careful about choosing... :p

Cortland! That's the one I was tryna remember.
With regards to the bounty hunter, his name is *** and we'd all appreciate it if you'd ixnay on the emoriesmay. Seeing as you weren't even there... Actually, this particular bounty hunter was about 5'11" and had a funny mask and cape... and his death threats were issued in Spanish! Are YOU the bounty hunter?! ARGH! And I sent cronies after ***! You JOIK! They better not have got to him yet!
That's the last time I go to the orchard without my anti-matter transporter.

Hmm, I'm not to familiar with the names. As long as their red and crunchy (and in the fridge :p ), I'll eat 'em. Not a fan of the green ones though. I don't know why.

I like Macintosh the best, and if memory recalls, Granny Smith second. I would really eat any kind, though.
