Cartoon Network Lines Up Spooky October Schedule

October is the scariest month on the calendar, and Cartoon Network has loaded it up with spooky double features, scary cartoon blocks and a Halloween marathon starring that master of ghoulish fun, Scooby-Doo.

Every Saturday evening, starting at 7 p.m. (ET, PT), Cartoon Theatre, Cartoon Network's showcase of contemporary animated features, unreels a double feature of scary flicks. The frightful Cartoon Theatre lineup follows.

Saturday, October 6:
Alvin and the Chipmunks Meet Frankenstein
Alvin and The Chipmunks Meet the Wolfman

Saturday, October 13:
Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers
Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School

Saturday, October 20:
Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island
Scooby-Doo and the Reluctant Werewolf

Saturday, October 27:
Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders
Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost

For petrified pooch Courage the Cowardly Dog, every day can be a scary experience, considering the evil eggplant, sadistic cats and talking feet that often pop into his life. But Cartoon Network adds to the terror-stricken terrier's anxiety this October when it features Courage the Cowardly Dog every week on Cartoon Olio, Cartoon Network's Saturday afternoon block highlighting Cartoon Cartoon original series.

Courage the Cowardly Dog chronicles the life of an incredibly timid dog named Courage who must regularly defend his owners -- an old couple living on a farm outside the small town of Nowhere -- from paranormal elements that threaten their simple existence. Cartoon Olio airs Saturdays from 3-6 p.m. (ET, PT).

October will wrap up with lots of tricks and a few treats (in the form of Scooby Snacks) with Cartoon Network's Halloween Scooby-Doo Where Are You! Marathon. Canine supersleuth Scooby-Doo and his Mystery Inc. cohorts will encounter an around-the-clock assault of spooky ghosts, scary curses and menacing villains during the 24-hour marathon, which airs from 12 midnight (ET, PT), Tuesday, October 30 through 12 midnight (ET, PT), Thursday, October 31. Wherever the Mystery Machine
pulls over, the gang stumbles upon curious legends and frightening circumstances. While Scooby and Shaggy are ready to bail at the slightest sign of trouble, Velma, Fred and Daphne make sure the clues are collected and the mystery is solved.
