I thought of an idea that might enable Justice League to use the other guy they chose as the Green Lantern for the Justice League, and STILL be consistent with Batman/Superman and Batman Beyond. Here's my idea: the other guy (I can't remember his name) became a Green Lantern and joined the Justice League, but Kyle Rainer is also a Green Lantern, but simply NOT a member of the Justice League. Perhaps the Green Lantern corps works like the Catholic Church does with preiests: Different species are periodically sent to patrol parts of space other than their home from time to time. So, Kyle Rainer, after joining the Green Lantern corps, may be currently patrolling another part of the Galaxy during Justice League.... Cool, huh?

And about Aquaman, it sounds like he'll look different, but otherwise be consistent with Batman/Superman. That's not so big of a deal for me. How many of us look exactly like we did 10 or 20 years ago?

My big question is, will Wonder Woman be an alien from another planet, or will her backstory be just like it was in the comic books and old "Superfriends" 1970's cartoon? Her old backstory never made ANY sense to me at all. Hopefully they'll fix her backstory on Justice League to make more sense.

Everyone, reply and tell me what you think! Especially about how I think they can keep the whole Green Lantern thing consistent with Batman/Superman. Later!

Well, that sure could work as an explaination for the GL situation. But since the writers aren't gonna worry about the continuity error (yet anyways), i think we're each entitled to our own ideas on what might be. And yours makes sense, so i'll go w/ that for now.

I like to think the Green Lantern Corp saw how the world was at the end of Leagcy and sent John Stewart (also from Earth) to help out Klye and the other heroes. Plus, people can change in a short period of time.

!

I'm almost positive their going to stay true to her comic book orgins. Making her an alien would be such a catostrophic change that it would piss off a lot of loyal Wonder Woman fans.

I don't think I've ever clearly understood Wonder Woman's backstory. Is she an Amazon, like the mythical all-woman native tribe in South America? Or is it like from a mythical continent on Earth, like Aquaman and Atlantis? And how (and why) does she have super powers? Do all Amazons have super powers, or only her??? Her backstory is sooo confusing to me. Also, I've seen her coming to Earth from her home (does that make her an alien?) to fight the Nazis in World War II, but by the 1980's/1990's she still looks like she's in her early 20's. What gives?!? Any help here would be most appreciated...

Aquaman's design change will be explained on the show. Bruce Timm said so at Comic Con. Its in the WF news archives somewhere and on the JL page.
