Just another sign that recordable DVDs will be an affordable reality sooner than later, Hewlett-Packard new HP DVD writer dvd100i drive will be bundled with Sonic Solutions MY DVD application and cobranded as HP MyDVD Video by Sonic. This will enable users to record, edit and share video content on DVD+RW and CDR/RW discs and turn their videos into interactive DVDs. Very cool indeed.

Cheap burnable DVD players would be the cooliest. Think about it with that we would be trading ep on DVD's instead of tapes.

A couple weeks ago I saw a DVD-burner in a Best Buy flier. They were charging $800 :(

DVD burners are available in the $500-$600 range now which I consider affordable for someone who is seriously interested in making DVDs. Unfortuneatly they don't burn normal CDs as fast as I'd like so I'm holding off replacing my old CD-RW for right now.
