As of the Jan. 18th episode, X-Men: Evolution will be temporarily taken off the Kids'WB! schedule to make way for new episodes of Static Shock. The show will return in late April/May in time for X-Men 2. And yes, this does mean we'll still be getting two episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh every weekend for the foreseeable future. So X-Men: Evo fans, hold tight for a couple months as the final four episodes promise to be big!

It's a shame that such a great show has to be replaced to make room for another one of my favorite shows. I hope that Kids WB thinks about putting X-Men Evo on the weekday schedle sometime before the final four episodes air as it would be nice to catch up on some of the episodes I've missed. Looking forward to Evo's return.

No Biggie. I know Static Shock will rock and it's better seeing Evo reruns. I hope Evo gets renewed for another season :D Can't wait for SS season 3 and the return of my favorite muties.

I am angry at this only because there are TWO episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh airing where X-Men : Evo could take one of it's spots. Given I enjoy Yu-Gi-Oh alot but having it have two episodes when there are other shows that could be there isn't right. However more XME with the release of X-Men 2 isn't that bad so I'll take it....for awhile.

*thumps head on desk* AAAGGG! ANd most of the Yugi-Oh! episodes are reruns anyway. And I wish that they would put it on week days starting from the begining because I missed a lot of episodes.

Can't say I'm disappointed, there wouldn't be anything but reruns, anyway, and I'm really looking forward to Static.

Booo! Hisss! :p Evo should really be on weekdays at least, since there are so many episodes that have only aired once. Yu-Gi-Oh really doesn't need two episodes every Saturday. :(

I have a feeling Kids WB will place X-Men: Evo on Cartoon Network.

Matt, you may have just set the mojo into play for such a thing to occur. Now Evo smells with the stench of Cartoon Network. @_@

The weekday airings of Scooby Doo need to stop. That show's already been played to death on Cartoon Network, and it'd be a good place for X-Men to run.

The extra half of Yugi could be replaced so X-Men can stay, and the Saturday airings of Jackie Chan can be dropped for when the Mummy returns. New eps of Jackie can always be shown on Fridays. The same goes for Yugi, so another show can return to Saturdays.

I may not be a big CN fan, but nobody could treat Evo worse than WB.

The CN fans could treat Evo worse than WB.

Trust me, the day Evo is announced for CN airing, you'll see a bunch of people whining and complaining about it. Naturally, it has nothing to do with the quality of the show, because these people HAVE NEVER SEEN X-MEN: EVOLUTION, but they detest the concept of Kids WB shows airing on Cartoon Network, so they'll be prejudiced against it.

But CN wouldn't treat Evo poorly. They've given Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh more than plentiful advertising.

here's something to consider.

The xmen is a marvel comics property.

Marvel comic's closest rival is DC comics.

Buried deep, underneath the snow (to quote the EWWW! :D batman and robin movie), of AOl and time warner, is allegedly DC comics. At least, if i'm not so horridly behind on all the merger history of what used to be just plain WTCG in Atlanta in the 70's and on the other side, QLINK in the 80's (you won't remember that far back unless you're OLDER!)

Also somewhere in the whole AOL/TW mess is Kid's WB, part of the Warner brothers television network. which shows something called smallville, and something now cancelled called birds of prey. which is a DC comics property, based very loosely on SUPERMAN and batman , respectively .

And Kid's Wb is showing a Marvel comics property in the X-men evolution show that is definitely NOT a DC comics property, no matter how many deluded people not over the whole marvel vs dc minisagas would tell you otherwise.

And every time , while they show X-men, instead of promoting DC comics which is technically part of AOl/TW they promote a Marvel Comics property which is making sony and other movie studios , rivals of AOL/TW, loads of money.

Something to ponder. if you may.

i'd prefer that EVO be on CN. CN does a much better job presenting & packaging their programs. i'd love a block of evo & jl. sweet comic book goodness.

i understand what kids wb is doing, milking yu-gi-oh for everything it can. but that doesn't mean i can't hate them for shelving evo for the next 2/3 months..especially since i'm trying to get back in the know of things.

i was upset when CN started runnign pokemon and yu-gi.
i thought kids were in bed by 9pm.

I'd love to see Evo on CN, if only to see the episodes aired in the correct order.

If Evo does switch to CN for the fourth season then I'll be a happy X-fan :D

Ummm, yeah, gotta wait four months to see Evo. Should have seen this coming. The show would be fine on CN, no real significant problems. At least Static Shock is on Kids WB to keep my interests.

Later.

I think X-Men: Evo should be on weekday afternoons too. I say this for one reason (takes deep breath):

WHEN WILL THEY SHOW "DAY OF RECKONING" AGAIN?! (gasps for breath) Anyone got any Ricola?

Aw, darn... :(

I need to start getting up earlier. I keep on missing Scooby and the first Yu-Gi-Oh anyway so even if they replaced the earlier YGO with X-Men Evo, I'd still miss it. Why can't they just can Mucha Lucha?

Stupid Mucha Lucha...Even Los Luchadores was better than that crud.

Oh, sorry, was I bashing off topic? :D

About CN. I see no reason why they shouldn't. Putting reruns on WB's related network can only increase popularity for when new episodes come out. If it were up to me I'd put it at 9 in Pokemon's stead and bring back Yu-Gi-Oh...but, oh well...

Hey, it would also rock on Toonami. :tom:

As for the whole DC Comics deal...if they've come as far as to place it on Kids WB, I don't think it will matter too much if CN airs it. Small children today rarely buy comics as it is and any one willing to watch reruns on Cartoon Network is already buying them. I doubt AOL Time Warner actually pays much attention to actual DC sales anyway.

that dc-marvel/time warner/aol/sony spin is garbage

cn airs old fantastic four eps alongside superfriends
if it were such a big deal, it'd never be on the wb to begin with

besides, fox produced btas simultaneously w/ spidey & x-men...not to mention indy icon TICK

i don't care who publishes what title, and nor do the networks. their only care is if the advertisers will drop coin on airtime and that the sets at home are on at the appropriate times. it's all about caysh.

does anyone know which eps will air on 01/11 and 01/18?

I checked Yahoo TV and it says that on the 11th "Stuff Of Villains" is airing. For the 18th is "Blind Alley". Not sure if that's right, but hope it helps.

refresh my memory but i believe stuff of villains features gambit sending the brotherhood on a mission to rescue pietro from the feds...who turns out to be the newly appointed leader of the 'hood

blind alley was cool: mystique takes revenge on scott for stranding her back at area 51. good fight between mystique and jean.

I didn't really care for Blind Alley. I wish CN would get Evo. I can't believe I just said that. But nobody could treat Evo worse thatn WB.

Hey, I can definitely live with this. I won't be home on Saturday mornings for the next four months because of practice for my hs's Spring musical, so this works out perfectly in that I won't miss any more episodes I already missed before.
