Yeah, I can imagine a Justice League Movie on the big screen along with maybe Teen Titans or another Batman movie.
I mean, C'mon, If Powerpuff girls can do it I'm pretty sure the animated DC can too.
I don't know how much budget Timm and Co. have. But with all the sales they've made they should have enough right?

If a DTV was released in the theater's it wouldn't be a Direct To Video release now would it? :p
That said, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing a second animated DCU theatrical release. But sadly, due to box office trends it probably wont happen anytime soon.

I'd love to check it out, even if it was a limited release, or something shown at film festivals. I missed seeing MASK OF THE PHANTASM in theatres, and I'm kicking myself for it. The WB DID technically make their money back for that movie, right?
I don't see why more people WOULDN'T see these movies. For example, "ICE AGE" came out of left field last year when it hit theatres, and it was a huge success! Can't a sly, mature, yet still child-friendly DCU movie be made for theatres? Here's hoping.
If not, DTVs are still great things to recieve in between.

I remember when ROTJ was originally said to be a movie in the theaters--we wouldn't have had to worry about the edits and seeing it on the big screen would've rocked..
So yeah, some DTV's I'd love to see on the big screen, but others (Sub-Zero, while great, wouldn't be that great on the big screen) I wouldn't care for..

I don't really care. As long as I get them on DVD eventually.
Actually, if it means there will be a 6-month delay for the movie to play in theatres first, then I would prefer to have them go DTV immediately.
Big screen cartoons is risky business, though. Lots of cartoons have flopped or disappointed in recent years. The recent Powerpuff Girls movie was a big disappointment for CN/WB, and WB don't excatly have a great track record for their animated movies. Even the superb Iron Giant flopped badly. I think it only made about 1/3rd of it's production budget at the box office.

Seeing a show WB seems to be rathar unconfident in their big screen ventures, I'd rathar see these movies go directly to video then hit the big screen. I would love to see more animated Batman on the big screen someday. I saw 'Mask of the Phantasm' on the big screen and it was absolutely amazing! I'd love to see more of that.
But I am content right now with having the new animated Batman premiering on video.

I don't care how, where, or when as just as long a steady stream of Batman and other heroes continutes.

I sure hope that Justic League proves successful enough to justify a theatrical release. Batman: MOTP was just really awesome overall, and I maintain my belief that ROTJ would have done alright if released theatrically. And if they can get on the ball with the new Justice League episodes, I see no reason it can't be the most (financially) succesful incarnation of the animated DCU.
I'm aware of the financial concerns that come from an animated movie these days (see: Powerpuff Girls), but a Justice League or Batman or Superman feature would be working with characters that are household names and American icons... surely that's got to be worth something? You would think that just having such popular and well-known heroes appear in a film would at least guarantee SOME success (assuming it was well-promoted).
