Bruce Timm did say that they would hint at Darkseid's presence in the first season,then he'd show up in the second.

That got me to thinking about how they'll handle him here.Will Bruce redesign him like he did Supes and Bats?Will they recast the voice(I happened to like Michael Ironside)?

What do you guys think?

I liked the STAS Darkseid voice as well, but I don't think they need to redesign him, unless they make him look even MORE menacing.

Dunno about the voice, but I bet they'll stick to the original voice if they can.

As for the design, I'd bet they'll re-do him, though most likely it'll just be minor tweaking like they did with Superman's design from S:TAS to JL.

The picture is cool. I do agree that they should get Michael Ironside to voice Darkseid again. I also hope in the Aquaman episode that they got Miguel Ferrer to voice Aquaman again.

Keep every aspect the same, unless they decide to make him darker. Will the showdown between him and Superman be fuel for his attempts to destroy the JL?...

From everything I've read Darkseid will have nothing to do with season 1, but if things go according to what they have planned he will play a huge part in season 2.

The only redesign necessary would be to make the character design a little more detailed (like they've done with Superman). But I wouldn't mind a nice big scar on his face to give him a constant reminder of the events from "Legacy".

And yes Michael Ironside is a must.

I was at Comic Con and I don't remember Bruce Timm saying anything about Darkseid in JL at all. However, he might have talked about it in a more recent interview. Comic Con was in July.
