What is the name of the Italian song that Bugs Bunny performs in the Tazmanian Devil cartoon (can't remember the title) where Bugs cooks up a batch of "Wild Turkey Surprise" for Taz? Is it a real song? What are the lyrics? I also remember hearing it in a couple of other WB cartoons but I'm not sure which ones. Can anyone help me out with this?

It most likely is a real song, since I heard it in "A Hound for Trouble". Music from this cartoon has been featured on all three Warner Bros. music collections. Maybe someone with "That's All Folks!" would know since the song is on there.

According to the "That's All Folks" book, it's called "Attsa Matta For You" and was written by Michael Maltese.
And for the lyrics, from Tuco's great site full of Looney Lyrics (http://home.nc.rr.com/tuco/looney/lyrics.html) and more....
A HOUND FOR TROUBLE
(Jones-1951)
Attsa matter, attsa matter??
Hey!!
At'sa matter for you?
You eata my raviola
And my pasta fagiole too
I'mma give you caccitore
And a pizza that's good to chew
Attsa matter you no like me??
Hey!!!
Attsa matter for you??
"...just in case you care pasta fagiole is an italian soup with small round pasta , a thin tomato sauce and beans (fagiole, in italian means beans), it's considered poor people's food. years ago it was only known as a peasant dish and it was brought to america by the less than fortunate immigrants..."

The other cartoon you're thinking of is when Bugs sings it while preparing a meal for Taz in 1957's "Bedeviled Rabbit." Since that was about the time Maltese and McKimson started working together, he may have had a hand in that cartoon, though Tedd Pierce got story credit.

I've only seen Mike Maltese's name on three McKimson cartoons - "Rabbit Romeo", "Fox Terror" & "Weasel While You Work". Since Warner's toons were kinda a collaborative effort, Tedd Pierce just "borrowed" the "Attsa Matta For You" ditty to use in "Bedevilled Rabbit". Besides, the WB cartoon writers kind of 'borrowed' from one another throughout the years.

If you look at the WB flimography, a month after "Bedeviled Rabbit" came out, the first McKimson-Maltese collaboration, "Fox Terror" was released. Being so close together on release dates, that's why I speculated Maltese might have been the one to suggest throwing in the song to the Bugs-Taz cartoon.
