According to a representitive for Cartoon Network, the long awaited Batman Beyond episode "Unmasked" will not be airing on the network. The network only ordered a specific batch of episodes, which for unknown reason, didn't include the episodes. For all the viewers in America, September 14th at 4:30pm will be the only time you can see the episode for the foreseeable future.
The episode will be rerun at least twice on the Canadian channel YTV
Also, Rick Fogel was able to comment on the upcoming episodes. "Although I was involved in the initial development of the story, Hilary Bader wrote 'Unmasked,'" Rich Fogel, who is currently overseeing stories for Cartoon Network's Justice League, told the Comics Continuum website.
"I haven't seen the finished episode yet, but I think it will reaffirm certain aspects of the Batman mythos in a compelling way. However, as is often the case, this was not originally intended to be the series finale, and it certainly does not wrap up all the loose ends. But who knows, maybe we haven't heard the last of Terry McGinnis."
The future for Batman Beyond looks grim with no live action or animated movie on the horizon.
