"Unmasked" will NOT air on CN

From today's Comics Continuum":

"According to a Cartoon Network representative, 'Unmasked' is not part of the Batman Beyond package that the network acquired, so the episode isn't scheduled to air there."

Kid's WB has still found a way to screw us over, even after airing "Unmasked" and shipping BB to CN.

Better get those VCRs set, folks. And those of us without access to KWB are SOL.

So....this means that September 14th, at 4:30pm...is the ONLY time Unmasked will air??? That is not good. I can imagine what I'd do if I didn't record it...I would cry my heart out.

And as soon as I get it recorded, I'm finding a way to record it onto my PC..then I'm burning it onto a CD.....

I hope sombody is able to put up a version of Unmasked up for download (and so WB won't get mad, maybe they'd better keep the commercials in it too...)

Good news for Canucks though, YTV is contracted the rerun the episode at least once or twice. It's all in the newspage.

This is truly odd. I'm sure this thing is just a technicality, that the deal was struck a while ago while giving KWB first rights to air the episode. I remember that CN only got the "old" Batman episodes while KWB aired the "new" ones, but eventually CN got them all. So surely, some time down the road, CN will get Unmasked as well. Right? RIGHT?!

When/if CARTOON NETWORK renews the rights to BB, "Unmasked" should be in there.

I'm sure that'll go without saying when the time comes to renew the deal or what have you. But until then, we have to treat UNMASKED as a once in a life time opertunity, cuz who knows when we'll be able to see it a second time! :eek:

Heh, just when we thought that everything was fine, this news comes up! Oh well, at least I can tape it when it airs. I wonder what other episodes CN hasn't ordered.......

hehe.talk about paranoia.....I already set my VCR for Friday the 14th at 4:28pm-5:02pm....now I have to go to bed for another week with a blinking light in my face...

more than likely, since Unmasked was paid for and not yet shown on WB when CN made the deal, WB wanted to get their views up by airing it, then it'll probably sell it to CN if the series does good at WB...

and ya know..I think this episode will be the one that there will be thousands of versions up on the net...so even if you guys miss recording...you can probably download it, or get a burned copy off another member!

What I don't understand is that according to the news page update CN can't air "Unmasked" because for some strange reason they can't air new episodes of kidsWB shows. This makes no sense as "Unmasked" will be shown before the network drops the series (even if it will be the last episode the show). In upcoming weeks CN will be showing the ep's from the both The Mummy and Yu-Gi-Oh(sp?) in part of the kidsWB spotlight (Fridays at 7:30 p.m.) and those episodes will be very new.

And actually the only thing I'm paranoid about at this point is we've been waiting for "Unmasked" forever and when we finally do see it the episode will turnout to be one of the worst of the series. :(

Speaking of which, the King of the Gods here has an episode guide to maintain. Anyone who wants to help out by getting him a copy of "Unmasked" pretty quick would surely earn his undying gratitude. . . .;)

Noooooo! My VCR picked the wrong time to mess up! :( Hopefully CN will get Unmasked later... It doesn't make sense to show an episode only once.

CN wil likely get UNMASKED, but not until next year at the earliest. The episode just wasn't in the current CN package.

now that is a very good move to give some "cushion" time when setting the timer. with all the shows that i set the VCR timer for, i always start the timer a few mintues earlier and end it a few minutes later.
